Hello friends,

My sister and her family just had their interview for immigrant visa ( she is a nurse ) last November 26 and passed. However, one week after their return to the province ( Dumaguete City ) the US Embassy called and informed her that her oldest son, my nephew, has to go back because his fingerprints are not clear and they will hold everyone's visa until he will be fingerprinted again. However, she was told she has to schedule the appointment online. She didnt ask more information on how to do it :( ( silly girl , lol) and now needs to call the US Embassy again. I also can't help her because I have not done it before.

Does anybody here knows the number of the US Embassy for her to call direct and not the PLDT number?

Thanks in advance.

Myla

Try +63 (2) 301-2000 locs. 5184/5185. Note this line is for US Citizens only. Also, you can use a SMART cell phone to call 1-909 number.

THAT WOULD BE MISS LORRAINE

Or Miss Grace. But as per experience, Lorraine is more courteous. :)

GRACE IS @ 5185. LORRAINE IS ALSO BETTER AT GIVING INFO. GRACE AND I HAD A PERSONALITY CONFLICT. SHE HAS NO PERSONALITY. WAS VERY RUDE. DON'T CARE FOR HER MUCH....

My sister can't call then if these extensions are for US Citizens only. Can you tell me more about the SMART number? So she will just dial 1-909?

Thank you.

The problem with the 1-909/1-808 numbers is that the people there give you useless information especially for cases under AR. Often they would just say call back after several weeks. But do try though as it is very difficult to reach Lorraine and Grace. And though the embassy trunkline is toll-free, my wife once spent $77 just to make one phone call to Lorraine as she had to dial the embassy number at least a hundred times. And that didn't include the two VOIP/phone cards she used. :)
