they don't "erase" threads..........only admin can totally erase a thread. mods can, however, make individual posts invisible. if they make the first post of the thread invisible, the whole thread then becomes invisible. it's a valid moderating tool. :thumbs:

erasing something - it no longer exists on vj. only admin can do that

making something invisible - it still exists on vj, but only mods and admin can see the post.

Meh. In the end it's all the same. I can't remember a time a post was made re-visible. Besides, it's not the mods you have to look out for. They do a good job. It's some (not all) of the little squirrels with delusions of grandeur running around you have to watch out for.
