online on a website called plentyoffish. I wasn't looking for anyone at the time, just someone to talk to....

And slowly love found it's way :D

We applied for a K1 a year later and got married last summer :D

We met on plentyoffish.com too. My friend persuaded me to set up a profile and Tom messaged me the same day. He was stationed in the UK at the time.

We met each other on a Saturday morning at 7am in front of a cigarette machine. We shared a Doner at a Turkish place and I thought my purse (with my apartment keys, passport, cell phone) was stolen while we were eating. He escorted me home because I was quite confused and totally overstrained. I live on a raised ground floor and he had to break into my bedroom to open the front door for me.

While he was inside to open the door for me, he found my purse. I totally forgot, that I brought it home before I went out with my friends. LOL

I told him I am going to invite him for dinner as a thank you, but it got more and more serious between us.

Yves and I, we met when we were studying abroad in Switzerland and it was 6 years ago, it was amazing, and was kind of love at first sight. We are really excited that the happy ending is coming soon...... I'm having my interview on 11th Dec. Plz cross your fingers for us.

Good luck to every VJs, our love will over come everything.

We met almost three years ago while playing World of Warcraft. We were just friends playing and chatting together for about a year and a half. He was going on vacation and had decided to see Yellowstone and figured that since it was only another 4 or 5 hours to meet a friend, he'd drive down to Salt Lake also. Three days after he arrived we were both in tears while he was getting ready to leave. We spent about two weeks trying to talk ourselves out of a long distance relationship, then gave it up and started talking about where we should live. He had been seriously considered moving away from Winnipeg for a couple of years (not out of Canada, but since he'd already been considering it, moving here made sense). He unofficially proposed in October over voicechat, and officially proposed while I was in Winnipeg for New Year's. :)

i had a long term job assignment in a backwater chinese city where almost nobody speaks english from fall 2004 until just a few weeks ago. i was in a street market one day in may 2005 waiting for a friend to pick up lunch at a local restaraunt when this girl walked up to me and asked if i was lost. she thought i was a lost tourist, and as a local tour guide wanted to help me find my way. she also happened to own a housewares shop in the marketplace.

i invited her to dinner just for the conversation. we both had very busy schedules, so had late dinners for weeks as "just friends", talking about chinese philosophy and world history, arguing over both, and riding around the town at night on my pedal bike. one night we snuck into the city zoo, running from the peacocks and the lions and the angry little old chinese men who lived in the zoo attractions, and took the cable ride across the gorge in the dark. we sat in the peony gardens there the rest of the night, and left for work at dawn. i just don't recall sleeping much that summer.

a couple of weeks later i looked across a candle in a pizza restaraunt and said to myself "this is a woman. what the hell am i supposed to do next?" so we filed a K1 after some serious discussions, the USCIS propmtly f'd that up, and 18 months later we had a visa. we got married in Oct 07, and have been happy since.
