He wanted to learn English and I was looking for pen pals in Budapest because I wanted to finally go and see the birthplace of my parents. I knew he was special from the start and went to Istanbul 6 months later to meet him. We were engaged and now collecting documents needed so we can obtain an interview soon. I knew he was the one from the start, but thought I was nuts for doing all this and I didn't even want any kind of relationship, but knew if I passed this guy by I would never meet anyone like him again...so ready or not here we are! lol

We met last February while I was vacationing in Cancun/Riviera Maya with my sister and some friends. He was our waiter and offered to show us around a bit later in the evening. We only talked for a few minutes and exchanged emails, but the attraction was definitely there. I JOKED with my sister about him being my future husband, but I thought we would just become pen/email pals because of the distance...little did I know! Within a couple of weeks we were chatting for hours everyday on MSN. Two months later, Aldo came to Louisiana to work for six months...we traveled back and forth to see each other almost every month until he left. After spending a week together for my birthday in July we decided that we couldn't live without each other. We are looking at a spring wedding, IF USCIS cooperates with our plans...and hopefully the rest will be history!
