OMG this is so crazy...we were at the beach in Neskowin on Sunday and my husband was standing filming the ocean and a sneaker wave came from the side and dragged him and our digital camcorder under the water. He was okay, thank god, but the camcorder has been laid to rest.

I'm not going to that beach anymore

"We are the real countries,

Not the boundaries drawn on maps,

With the names of powerful men.

That's all I've wanted -

To walk in such a place with you,

On an earth without maps."

With my wife working as a medical interpreter and three kids that are doctors, death is a very common thing from all kinds of so called accidents, diseases, or mishaps. They are supposed to be trained not to get emotional, but not easy when a young child is struck down from a car and trying everything to keep that child alive, can't bat a thousand.

You are going to die, I am going to die, we are all going to die, only a question of when, want to meditate on it? Death is very much a part of life, no getting around it.

so very sad

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Filipinos are not used to the big waves we have here on the West Coast. Poor girl. (F) The guy must not have had much exposure to the ocean which is a bit odd given his age.

That's good to know, consider the interweeb is going nuts with "OMG he KILLED her U ned to rot in H*LL Merderer man!11! GOD wil bring JUSTISE to U!"

It is a bit odd that he stopped to take off his jacket, unless it was such a big bulky jacket that it would have hampered him swimming. However, conditions must have been very bad if the rescue workers were unable to go looking for her.

sad..and just wrong

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
