I like the Xterra

I do too. I think it looks killer in yellow.

that's my fav color of xterras too!

I like it in yellow too! Normally I want a black car but the xterra is nice in yellow.

I bet you could get a killer deal on a used Hummer now. I saw a 2005 H-2 with 50,000 miles on it for $20,000 a few months ago. It would eat that dirt road for lunch.

I don't want to buy a car with that many miles on it...I will look into the Hummer. My neighbor has 2 of them! Maybe I can talk him into letting me drive one as a test :P

I'm certainly no car expert, but I do recall seeing a few shows review the latest Jeeps (Wrangler X, Commander, and Compass) because we were going to get a new Wranger for here in HI and the ratings were horrendous for all the new Jeep vehicles.

Now, I don't know if its because these people were Jeep enthusiasts but they really hated everything about them. Mostly because of the transmission and new suspension on the vehicles. I guess it depends how bad the roads are and if you've always driver a Jeep. I dunno, Chris would only sign off on a Jeep if it had the older suspension or we changed the suspension.

Personally, I think they're all cute and don't really do any true 4x4ing so who cares?!

I've done a lot of research this year when it comes to cars and those two Jeep SUVs have not gotten very good ratings. I've been to several sites where they get less than 3 stars. On the other hand we currently own a Jeep Wrangler and besides it being really tiny for our family, it's been running great for almost 8 years.

I would suggest doing more research on those two vehicles if you're still interested. They're pretty cute but it's really what's on the inside that counts. :P

ok everyone...months later and I've finally made a purchase :P on friday I ended up buying a big truck instead of an suv. I tried it out at the cabins yesterday and it was obviously much better on the roads than my low to the ground car. It was also very nice to be able to bring my 4 wheeler in the back instead of relying on someone else to do it for me. I ended up buying a used truck too since I won't drive it very often. I got a black 2008 dodge ram 1500 with hemi ;) it only has 9500 miles on it.

this photo isn't a photo of mine. right now mine is caked in mud :P
