Multi-page topics

I don't know how easily this can be done, but this is something that I find annoying as it affects a lot of topics at VJ, once a topic reaches 4 or more pages, the link into the topic includes the first 3 pages, and the last page, if you are watching a topic often you have to click on the last page, and then once in you can click a number to go back a page (or more). Most of the time if a topic isn't too fast moving you only need the last page or the page just before the last...

If instead of showing page 1, 2, 3, 143 it showed 1,141,142,143 it would be far more useful... actually, it'd probably make even more sense to just go with 140, 141, 142, 143... if someone wants the first page they can just click the regular link instead of the jump to page link. Can this be changed?

Unless I misunderstand what you're trying to do, why don't you just click on the itty-bitty orange box next to the post title? That takes you to the next unread post in the thread.

Also, if you click on the little white box next to the topic title from the forum list, you will get a prompt for which page number you'd like to jump to.

I love the little orange box click! I found out about it over the summer and it has revolutionized my VJ experience!

You can also adjust how many posts-per-page are displayed to you...should cut down on the total number of pages...

Yeah... that orange box does what I want, I never even realized it was clickable... maybe a different graphic that actually implies what it does instead of just an orange box would be nice (so it's function is more obvious or at least more obvious that it actually does something).

Even though this feature covers my main need, I still think that change to the page numbers displayed by the thread is a good idea.

Ah, I recognize that white box now... but... I recognize it from the timeline pages and igor's, I never noticed it before the page numbers.
