My husband has never celebrated Christmas - obviously but is really looking forward to it when he does come to the States. I think he's fascinated with the glitz & glam of it - who am I kidding - so am I !!!!!

Hassen is sooooooo easy to please - appreciates anything. He received his Christmas gift early - indash Sony car stereo for his families car in Tunisia. He's also a total electronics freak so the remote it can with was like the best thing since sliced bread!

Is there a theme here with the leather jackets? ;) Cause my husband "suggested" the same thing for himself for when I see him in January. :)

I just got into an argument with him about this. i don't why but he don't want to celebrate anything not even EID. I'm so pissed, I don't know what to do or say to him anymore. its really disturbing to me that he has adapted this attitude. When he was in morocco, he celebrated everything. Now that he is here, nothing. Any ideas? I wanna celebrate EID too i'm muslim!

Terrie, when did he get here again? It's so hard to keep up with everybodies arrival dates anymore..

I know that mine had issues with holidays coz being here vs their home countries SUCKS when it comes to EID so some of them kind of get a bit cranky when we go all out for "our' holidays or celebrations. I say get him stuff anyways if it makes you happy to do so. I'm fairly sure that I won't get anything from mine but it makes me so happy to get him stuff that I don't really care if I get anything or not. (we'll see how I feel about that in a few years lol)

I know that mine does some stuff thru cafepress so I dunno if he'd like a gift from there or not. I'm totally gonna check it out though!

I might get him his own coffee mug so he'll stop stealing mine lol! Maybe some new clothes and cologne. i may get him a hat too coz he has a maroon one that he wears all the time and it doesn't match anything lmaooo

Visited Jordan-December 2004

Interview-December 2005

Visa approved-December 2005, 1 week later after supplying "more information"

Arrived U.S.A.-December 2005

Removed Conditions-September 2008

What kind of gifts have you gotten ur SO that they really appreciated / enjoyed / needed / etc etc?

Not sure about in this thread, but I use www.alosmart.com and swear by them :) Buy online, deliver pins to your email instantly and cheapest rates I've seen. You'll have to register and they call you when you register to make sure it's really you and verify your first order, but after that you are good to go and they won't call, just log in, pick, order and get pins.

The first year he was here my husband wasn't interested in celebrating much either (American or Muslim holidays). But it got better with time. I think a big part of it was homesickness. It just wasn't the same. I would still try to cook something special for him or get him a little gift (even if it was homemade) Just an idea :)

I was just going to suggest cooking a nice meal for breaking the fast! That's really the only thing my husband asked of me, to cook a nice lamb shank dinner to break our fast. Other than that he's really not into it though I can tell he gets a little sad about it when he talks to his sisters and they tell him about all the excitement going on over there.

They also do pens, mousepads, mugs, just about anything you can think of.

I got the coolest "Free Palestine" shirt there written in all in Arabic so when I wear it around those who know what it says are likely to agree with me  and other people are like
