London to Los Angeles & the envelope!

So I read all of these posts about the mysterious brown envelope, and giving it to the POE officers. Our problem is, my fiance was handed his envelope opened. The consulate took everything out of it, in front of him, but his x-ray. And she didn't pass on any info about him having to hand it over at the POE. So my question is, shouldn't there have been some sort of instruction for him, and more paperwork? What would the officer do with just his x-rays?!

Thank you!

I could be out of date with this as my K1 process was completed 2007 - I seem to recall the envelope in question ( the one every says do not open) actually comes when the courier delivers the passport with the visa stamped in the passport.

It maybe the consulate gave your fiance back something he offered them - did he perhaps have his documents and copies in a envelope?

I am sure others with more recent experiences will offer advice, as I am not sure if the process has changed.

Good Luck

Sounds like the CO opened the medical from the doc. The MBE you refer to will/should be given to him unopened along with his visa.
