June NOA #1 and no touches since then... something wrong?

Hello,

We filed for a K1 fiance visa and recieved our NOA #1 from the CSC on June 18, 2008. Since that time, I haven't recieved any updates nor touches from them on our case. I called a couple weeks back to check on the status of our case (as I noticed other people who filed later were being approved), and the person I spoke with said they cannot look further into the delay until I get past the 6 month processing time (Dec 18, 2008).

Is this typical, or should I be worried that we haven't recieved any type of update since our first NOA? I know the CSC is a bit longer on processing, but I still find it strange reading other's timelines and seeing they've had at least one touch since the first, and many have been approved.

Thanks,

Marty

Touches can mean everything..or nothing at all. Not all adjuticators are created equally... so not every one will scan your petition when they're supposed to.

Many people go through this process with no date change at all so try not to worry about that. Calling before you are past the times listed on the uscis website will do you no good... even after that you'll probably still just get a standard answer.

Even though people seem to be approved 'around' the same time as those who filed with them, the process is really very different for everybody and any one of the many security checks can hold you up along the way.

good luck. I hope you hear something soon.

Hello,

My I-129F sent july 22'08 and got the NOA1 august 7'08..The case updated only once august 12'08 since then there was no touch or update which is i started to worry...But after 3 mos and 18 days,we got the approval thru email by CRIS and was thankful because my case was not like the others member here that they got touch or update often, but mine its not but still got the NOA2 anf not waiting for a several mos..So dont worry about it,ok?start worrying if your case will not be approve for six mos over after getting the NOA1,but dont worry god is good just keep on praying...god speed..goodluck...

Thanks for the feedback from both of you. Not too much more time before the 6 month mark, so we'll wait and give them another call on Dec 18th. Best of luck to everyone.
