I need some reminders please

Things seem to have changed since I went through this process in 2004/5 and I'm unable to help a friend who has just started this process.

1. (I've forgotten) when calling NVC and giving the case number does one enter just the number in or give the letters, which designate the consulate, as well?

2. Having paid for the affadavit of support bill on line she received notice that she should download the cover sheet to include with the form ... where would she find the link for this or was it included in the receipt? Don't they send anything through the mail now?

Yes, the nvc system asks for the three letters, you punch it in, then it will ask for the numbers

and when she paid online, she can just go back to where she paid and there is a button to press to print out the barcode sheet. there should be four buttons, two are for receipt, one is to print and one to email, and two for the barcode sheet, one to print and one to email
