Welcome new people like SraCastillo and antiwaiting. First thing is to call NVC and find out your case number. You give them your USCIS case number and if they received them from VSC, they'll give you the NVC case number. NVC may not get the case until Tues or Wed.

I am curious as to how other recent approvals are doing at NVC. I would love to hear whether you have been able to send in the Choice of Agent or pay the AOS fee bill.

Our I-130 and I-129F petitions were approved on September 20. The I-130 arrived at NVC on September 26 and the I-129F arrived in Italy on December 1. We are going to schedule the K-3 interview and hope that our info for the CR-1 catches up so that my husband can enter with a green card.

I would love to hear about what progress others are making at NVC!

Hey i am happy to have found this thread. I Called NVC to day and still nothing yet. But Should i have my wife pre filled the forms and prepair to email as soon as they are gererate mainly the Ds 3032.

Sanket, looking at yr timeline and mine, seems VSC starts to make sense, no? this is good news for the K3 still waiting family. lets hope well have a smooth fast NVC together too.

Were you able to obtain the IIN from the NVC operators? Or did you wait until you recieved it in the mail?

Kelvin - No, I had hard time getting the IIN from the operators. You can always try, but I don't think it slows down the NVC process a bit if you wait for the IIN to arrive in the post. It didn't slow me down so far.

If you are unable to get IIN after 15 - 20 tries, do not bother. It will not slow you down at all. I think they are becoming more and more strict on this, since it could be borderline privacy/security issue.

You already got your case numbers? That is AWESOME!!!! Congratulations. I thought it would take a little bit of more time since there is SO MUCH mail because of the holidays... I am going to call TODAY...

Yea...I think they probably just scanned my cases last night. The automated voice thing did not reflect the cases being received so I spoke to the live operator at around 9-10 PM. I did go through the automated thing this morning and noticed that it was updated to reflect them receiving it.

I came to realize that USCIS did not process the removal of my lawyer from my case. As of now, the NVC is set to be sending everything to my lawyer!! It's not that bad since I already arranged for then to forward me everything they receive but still.

Per the operator, I e-mailed the NVC a request to remove the lawyer and instructe them to send all correspondence to my address. I don't think it'll be an issue as they probably won't generate the AOS Bill until later in the week, and they have hopefully processed the change by then.

Some questions though, if the NVC sees that there's a lawyer on the case, do they make them the agent by default, and not generate/send a DS-3032? If I now remove the lawyer, does that mean they'll now have to generate/send a DS-3032 to me? Trying to understand the implications of my change request.

I called last night and spoke to an operator, she said they had not received my application yet. She advised me to wait up to 90 days!!!! I CANT BELIEVE THIS.... I think that is just crazy.... I hope to have good news today.... I called this morning and went through the AVR system but nothing yet....

oh, we r in big trouble. seems the AVG doesnt recognize my husband's cell phone. he said he had this problem before. when they ask press key 1, for example, he does, and system doesnt take it. for a phone he pays 200$ every month, thats just not cool. he doesnt have a landline home, and cant make long distance phone calls from work. for USCIS he was calling from work landline, but was a 1-800 number.

did anyone have a similar problem? he has coleagues who offered their phones to call, but not only that is long distance and u r on hold for a while, but is a number he'll have to call too often for this to be a good solution. does anyone know if there r phone cards or somth u can use on any landline, and to charge from the card and not from the landline? I cant believe we r out of VSC and a freakin phone is in our way. I just cant believe. is such a stupi situation that I dont know if to laugh or to cry about it.

if SraCastillo didnt get any news yet, I think is fair to think our file isnt there yet either, because we had approval same day at VSC. so we didnt slow ourselves because of phone yet, but we have to find a solution ASAP!
