Recent I-130 Approvals (Nov. /Dec.) - NVC Process

I just paid our IV bill too! We will have to wait until Tuesday to send in the IV packet because that is when I will have my husband's birth certificate with his parents' names. At least its only a delay of a few days.

I'm glad I overnighted the DS-3032. It was accepted the same day they received it. I think e-mailing the form actually takes longer.

At the moment I am waiting for an approval but my husband will go through Naples, Italy for his interview.

I have researched Naples councelor and people are saying that their interview went well. Have you heard anything that we should keep in mind?

The only thing Italy specific that we have discovered is that the birth certificate that my husband got didn't have his parents' names on it and it expires after six months. We called the consulate and they said we didn't need the birth certificate with his parent's names because I'm sponsoring him but we got a new a birth certificate to send to NVC. I don't know how closely NVC looks at things but we didn't want an RFE. I think Daniele ended up getting one in a European Union format.

We also found out today that our K-3 papers have been processed in Italy and we can call and schedule the interview next week. We're hoping for a date mid January which should give NVC enough time to finish our CR-1 paperwork and get it to the embassy. Then we can just switch the interview to the CR-1. Hopefully the timing works out.

We will post info about the embassy once Daniele has his interview.

Is it the same for CR-1 interviews as well, we have to call the embassy in Naples to schedule the interview or NVC schedules the interview since we are sending our paperwork to NVS?

The AOS and IV bill show as PAID online. sending out the DS-230 and AOS package as soon as the post office opens. It should reach there on Monday.

I just called the NVC automated line and it said that there was information that was missing or incomplete. I called NVC back in a panic to talk to an operator and she told me that it is not an RFE, its just that I haven't sent in the IV packet yet. Whew! The operator told me that the AOS has already been reviewed and accepted. Just waiting for that darn birth certificate.

Congrats SankuNiku! Things will start moving fast from here! Its amazing how just a few weeks ago I was so depressed and discouraged and now we're almost done at NVC. Good luck with the next step!

I got my police certificate today - waiting for birth certificate as well ~ tho should be here Monday I am hoping

my husband is waiting for his ltr of employement

few little bumps for us, but I probably won't be able to move till May

and Montreal is taking about 2 months to book interviews

so even after I am done at the NVC I will probably have 3-4 months waiting =/

Yes indeed, I am on my 9th day and my AOS and DS-230 packages have been sent overnight today. It should be there Monday. I just may break msnoob's record 'IF' there is no RFE. There shouldn't be, but then you never know.

Sanket, call them on Monday, but I have a feeling your cases will reach there on Tuesday if approved today. If they were approved yesterday, they will have it on Monday.

Thanks! According to the e-mail and status on the website it says they mailed the approval notice on 12/11/08, So guess it's closer to Monday. Cross fingers!

Did you end up paying the bills after you got the IIN in the mail? Or were you eventually successful in getting the IIN through the NVC hotline?

just paid AOS and IV bill online. ;-) I have a feeling, now we are going to zoom through this. I expect to send both packages out by Monday...both are ready.

my husband didn't receive packet 3 for k3 yet. can i just print out DS 230 and send it or do i need to wait to receive it in mail before i can send any forms to consulate. Di i need to send anything else along with DS 230 Part 1. plz help!

have your husband download the packet 3 forms from Mumbai Consulate website. The packet 3 includes Only the part 1 of DS-230, DS-2001 and the checklist with an applicant's agreement at the bottom of the checklist. Also include two passport size photos and one copy of the passport in the packet 3.

thanks for your reapply, but the problem is we are at the new delhi consulate, i could not find ds 2001 on new delhi embassy's website and mumbai consulate ds2001 has its name on the top so we really cannot send that in.
