NVC got the packet 4 on January 26th 2008......I talked to an operator last night and was told that they NEED both AOS and Packet 4 to give a case complete and the AOS was already reviewed and accepted

3-4 days before case complete......I am sure we will hit the January 31st deadline.......Will call them tonight to see if its been scanned into the system......

Hi Everyone,

My husband had his interview on Tuesday and was approved! They didn't ask him anything except to swear that everything we had submitted was the truth. He received his passport with the CR-1 visa today via courier. I didn't feel like we could truly celebrate until it was in his hands. He will finally be HOME next week!

I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers as you complete your journeys! Best of luck!

Congrats Daniel

You did give an awesome start to this thread in terms of approvals:)

Aman - Hope you get case complete soon...Good luck :D

I am getting nervous. They received both the AOS and Packet IV on friday, at least that was when they scanned it in their system. They received them a few days earlier. Every time I call them, they give me the same answer which is that the case is under review and that it takes 2-4 weeks. From what I have seen in this thread, people are receiving case complete withing a few days. Should i be worried?

I wouldn't be worried. Took them almost 2 weeks in my case.

Done for 3 years or 10 years. Haven't decided yet.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

Probably introducing something new. Like i taught that AP usually might come at the end of the Journey but mine and a lot of people who were approved actually the same time as me went through it at the beginning in the middle. its just crazy. But you know them always trying something new

Aman,

I sincerely do not know when is the cutoff date... but I want to let you know that they schedule interviews ONLY on the second week of each month. So the second week of February they will be scheduling interviews for March. February interviews have already been scheduled.

Does someone know when is the cutoff date? I had a case complete on Jan 12 and did not make it for the february interview scheduling... So I'm still WAITING

beniecenvet,

You should not worry... It does take a few days for the review to get completed... some are faster than others.... The only thing I do recomend... is to call NVC EVERYDAY... and ask for status... they will give you the same answer.... but this is the only way you will catch an RFE ON TIME.... if it does occur.... From the day I sent my AOS and DS-230, to the day I got a case complete... there were 12 days.... This includes an RFE that was a mistake on their side... I knew about this RFE on a thursday and it took until the next monday to clear it up... They were requesting a document that was NOT needed.... so the result of this RFE was that I was right.... I did not have to send the document.....

I thank God I called EVERDAY.... evn though many times I got very frustrated with their standard answer (wait 4 to 6 weeks.....)

Take Care and Good Luck!!!
