Recent I-130 Approvals (Nov. /Dec.) - NVC Process

Please help me on this.

I received this email from NVC, regarding to my choice of agent that I emailed to them. Is this mean they accept my Choice of agent already?

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa

Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated

agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions

before the instruction packet will be sent.

Also one more question, we paid AOS fee bill online yesterday, today IV fee bill seems to be able to pay online as well, should we pay it now or wait until AVR say that our IV fee bill is already generate? I talked to an operator, she said that they just finished reviewing our choice of agent today, she also said that IV fee bill will be sent out within a week or two.

Wait until the AVR says that the IV fee bill has been generated. I paid the IV fee when it became available but because it was a day before the AVR was generated, there is a discrepancy now. When i log online, it shows not paid but when you click on the receipts, it shows paid and you can still print the document cover sheet. however, when you call NVC, they say that i need to pay IV fee when I have already done so. I sent the IV packet yesterday, so I am not sure if this will cause a delay but if i were to do it again, i would wait until AVR says that the fee is generated. Should be tomorrow. Hope this helps.

I just called NVC for a status update and nothing yet. They didnt even tell me that they have received the files yet. The AOS was received by them yesterday while the IV packet arrived there today. Is this normal?

CASE COMPLETE! finally!! i was beginning to worry about a RFE...interview scheduling, here we come!

it's totally normal. the NVC received all of my documents last thursday and it took them a week (with no RFEs) to review and complete my case.

Finally I sent the Packet 4 today...NVC will get it on January 27th.....

I talked to an operator last night and she told me that our AOS has not been accepted as NVC is waiting for packet 4....I though they were two independent tasks.....Why they heck are they waiting to process the AOS packet.

I am already preparing for a mid April interview instead of a late March one......

The only thing that I really regret is that We have missed all our first celebrations...B'days, Diwali, New Year, Lohri....We really wanted to be together for our first anniversary...............

Anyways......we have done what we can....all we can do is hope for best....

See you guys on tuesday...........Three days when don't even have work to drown myself in......have nothing to do now but wait...............

My husband had his interview on Tuesday and was approved! They didn't ask him anything except to swear that everything we had submitted was the truth. He received his passport with the CR-1 visa today via courier. I didn't feel like we could truly celebrate until it was in his hands. He will finally be HOME next week!

Update: I called NVC last night and they acknowledged that they had received mail from me. At first they would not tell me what it was but then i asked again if it was both the AOS and the IV packed and the lady confirmed it. She said to give them a few days. Hopefully I will get a Case Complete soon.

Give them a couple of days to review. By Tuesday you might get case complete.

i just called nvc. they have my DS 230 packet and it is under review. I pray to god that there will not be any RFEs. My case is already delayed for more than a month.

NVC got the packet 4 on January 26th 2008......I talked to an operator last night and was told that they NEED both AOS and Packet 4 to give a case complete and the AOS was already reviewed and accepted

3-4 days before case complete......I am sure we will hit the January 31st deadline.......Will call them tonight to see if its been scanned into the system......
