NVC case completed people

we did it in 19 days without an RFE...i thought it took longer, i guess they were in a holiday mode and celebrating with the new president...oh well, i hope our interview clears with flying colors...

for those of you waiting...keep your paperwork ready while you are waiting for USCIS..we collected our paperwork and that helped a lot.

When I called to ask when the interview was going to be scheduled, they said the second week of February. Is that true? Do they schedule CR-1 interviews before second week of the month?

Maria - thats what i was told without even asking. the operator told me without asking, that the interviews are scheduled in the 2nd week of every month, conditions apply on a first approved, first served basis. the embassy/consulate can only accomodate so many interviews in a month. which kind of makes sense. so my advise to all waiting is not to delay by a single day as it might just cost you a whole month of waiting.

hi guys, i just sent the IV packet today and the AOS yesterday...hopefully there will be no RFE and that i will get a case complete soon...do you guys know how long it usually takes once you mail out these forms? thanks

if all is well with your file and you sent in all the documents without any errors, (what the trend has been in the past few days) it should on average take about 3-4 days or so get a case complete. hopefully your case will be done by either friday or early next week. good luck! rest assured they are way faster than USCIS. i guess in part because, they are not actually reviewing the documents...they are just making sure that all forms have been correctly filled out and all the supporting documents are attached.

Within three days after I sent AOS and DS-230 our case was complete. Hopefully you hear some good news by the end of this week.

I am sending the Packet 4 today by fedex...Hopefully will reach NVC by Jan 26th.....

I just sent my DS230 packet today by UPS express mail. It took me a long time to send it since we did not have police certificates. Hopefully my case will be complete by next week. It has been very disappointing to wait so long.

I received this email from NVC, regarding to my choice of agent that I emailed to them. Is this mean they accept my Choice of agent already?

The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa

Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated

agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions

before the instruction packet will be sent.

Also one more question, we paid AOS fee bill online yesterday, today IV fee bill seems to be able to pay online as well, should we pay it now or wait until AVR say that our IV fee bill is already generate? I talked to an operator, she said that they just finished reviewing our choice of agent today, she also said that IV fee bill will be sent out within a week or two.
