Hello everyone! I called the NVC automated voice line last night and it said they had received our packet of information (assuming Affidavit of Support) but that there was missing or incomplete information. Also said they mailed a letter on January 14th. What could this be about????? We have a respectable attorney so i can't imagine them missing something. Anyone else with this experience?????

This is because they are waiting for your DS-230 packet to be sent it. Also, talk to operator and confirm that there is no RFE yet.

This is because they are waiting for your DS-230 packet to be sent it. Also, talk to operator and confirm that there is no RFE yet.

Oh okay.... is this the packet where my husband has to send a copy of his passport; original birth and marriage certificate; etc??

Called the NVC operator 1/14 just before closing. Was informed that our case was complete on 1/12.

No interviews are available in January in Manila, so will need to wait until second week of February

until the next round is scheduled (that's when our case will be forwarded to the embassy).

Hey,

Spoke to a supervisor. It appears to me that our case has been complete for a while!! They had an internal issue with the AOS fee not being processed but the case has been in the queue to be scheduled an interview. Unfortunately we did not make it for Feb interview either. So I am going to try to get our scheduled K-3 interview converted into CR-1. Wish me luck.

Thanks CMNB,

I sent them info to prove payment. It was not necessary as they knew that I paid, just that I guess a supervisor has to officially settle it. From speaking to the supervisor today, the payment issue was not holding up completion/scheduling of the case at all. According to her we simply did not make the cut for the Feb interviews. So I will see what I can do in terms of converting the K-3 to CR-1 interview.

SankuNiku - you should have the NVC supervisors put a pressure on the Mumbai consulate to make this switch for you...you MAY encounter problems making the switch but maybe a supervisor has some kind of an influence on these people...i guess they can do that to compensate for your lost time.

Just got a call from my Father....He has the DOB certifiacte in his hand....with the correct date.......He is going to send the docs to metoday and then off they go to NVC....hopefully by wednesday
