i would stlll send photocopies just to be safe. plus, you might want the originals back- esp. the marriage and birth certificates!

congrats kelvin! very exciting.

quick question- i am planning to send my AOS and DS230 packets together. my AOS fee was already accepted and i paid the IV fee on saturday so i figured i might as well just send them in together. i think i've seen a few other people do it...is there any reason not to send them together? i thought it might make things a little faster to process (and save me some $$)--though in general, it seems like the NVC is 100x faster than USCIS!

the AVR says that they've accepted my DS3032 and i should wait for something in the mail. i figure that's just the IV checklist and DS-230. assuming i have everything ready, i don't actually need to wait for anything in the mail to include with my packets, right?

THANKS!

i am very confused and i think i made a terrible mistake. i just got the AOS fee bill in the mail today. when i signed in online with my IIN, i saw there were two bills (the AOS and IV bill). i went ahead and paid both of them at once and they both show as "IN PROCESS"....later on i called NVC and i was told by the officer that my IV bill still hasnt been generated. i am so scared, i may just have dumped $400 for no reason. the nice operator on the phone said that if i am unable to print the cover sheet after it shows paid, to call NVC so they can let me know what needs to be done. i hope this doesnt slow the process down :( i am so upset :( :(

wait, are you sure it hasn't been generated? because for me it looked like it was not possible to pay the IV bill until it had been generated. on friday, i signed in to pay the AOS fee and noticed that we would also be paying the IV fee through the same website. at the time, the IV bill said something like 'not generated'- or something to that effect- but when i signed in on saturday just to check on the AOS bill, the IV bill appeared as "not paid" so i figured it had just been generated since my DS3032 was processed the day before. i definitely got the feeling that you wouldn't be able to access the IV bill until it had been created...but this is just my thinking.

maybe call the NVC back to confirm with someone else that your IV bill has really not been generated?? good luck! i'm sure it will work out.

CMNB

Check the VJ posts, there is something like " I lost 400$" this guy also paid the packet 4 fee before it was generated, Don't worry, they will accept your payment, it will just take little more time

In my case they took 4-5 days post accepting my DS3032 to generate the packet 4 fee.....

Relax....I bet you will get a mid March interview...

Good Luck

Congrats to Kevin , Sas for case completion and Fab for interview date......I am sure you guys would feel so relieved now:)

i talked to two of them and they said that it hasnt been generated yet. but after i paid both of them, they both show as IN PROCESS.

cmnb, I think u didn't lose the money and it will soon show as PAID. I think u can't pay online for somth that wasn't generated yet, so must be an error that will be fixed soon. u could have been worried if u'd have paid in another way, but if u paid online I think u r fine.

my update: everything sent, just waiting for NVC to do their part now.

for the K3 things didn't work as we hoped. we hoped for a K3 interview to be changed for CR1, considering that we lost some time at NVC because my husband wasn't there. well, papers for K3 have been sent from NVC dec 20th, and didn't get here yet. I think mail was lost or somth. not that would matter now, as we wanted to go on with CR1 anyways, but what if we would have chosen the K3 route? we'd still be hanging waiting for some news. not cool, no?

enjoy life,

aba anoma,

You can definately send both packages together. If you paid online, you do not have to wait for anything, just print your coversheet and attach to your package and off it goes... I sent mine together in the same envelope and had no problem what so ever. So go ahead and send these as soon as you can. GOOD LUCK!!!

Dear All,

here is my update. i checked the online payment system at about 8 AM this morning. the AOS fee bill shows as paid and the IV shows as not paid. but when i click on the receipt page they both show as paid and i have the ability of printing the barcode sheets, which obviously i did. i checked my bank account and it shows that they took out the money (amazing how they took just about 12 hrs to take the payment). i called two operators. the first told me to wait until both say paid and then send the packages. the second one confirmed that they had just generated my IV fee bill today and that they had recieved my $400 and $70 and that the payment was still pending.

therefore, i think i should be fine. i still have to make photocopies of my package so I will just mail everything tomorrow. this will give NVC enough time to sort their mess out.

thanks to all for your support :)

I would suggest don't mail DS-230 until it shows PAID on both screens. I had exactly same problem but I mailed DS-230 anyways (Dec. 17), status became PAID on Dec. 22 on both screens. My DS-230 is still not reviewed.
