I was reading the instructions on the USCIS webpage for I-864A and it says that "The signatures on the I-864A must be notarized by a notary public or signed before an immigration or consular officer." Have any of you notarized this form?

Yes....the I-864A has to be notarized, but not the I-864.

You only need an I-864A if you're using a joint sponsor.

I am using my fathers income so we need to file I864A.

So what we are filing is:

ME ==> Sponser File I-864

Father ==> Household member FileI-864A

Do I have these correct? I think this are the only 2 forms.

Desiman - I have been a witness to what a nightmare this process has been for you. It's almost coming to an end, so my advice is that please stay patient and collected. If you get agitated, you won't be able to think clearly as to how to tackle any temporary hurdles. It's unbelievable how this entire process has treated you. It's easier said than done, but trust me, stay calm. this will pass.

How do we get the IV fee bill? Does it come in the mail or is it the same as IIN number from AOS?

I believe that it is the same as IIN number from AOS.

Log on to the Online module payment, once the packet 4 fee has been generated you can see it in the module, Just pay online like you do for AOS bill....

Hopefully I get the IIN fee bill on the mail today. The operaters on the phone will not give it, i have tried many times.

It seems the operators have been told not to do so.....

You can relax, may be by the time you get the AOS bill your packet 4 would also be generated and then you can pay both the bills together and send packages together too.....

I think I gave up at some point, I am not calling NVC to ask for the IIN anymore, I'm waiting until I get it in the mail.

hi all. i emailed the choice of agent yesterday but did not receive any kind of automated reply. i am not sure if it went through or what. i will wait for a few days and also mail the form once i get it. it was generated jan 5th.

Yea I sent both in one package to save shipping. I put each packet in a separate envelope, then put both envelopes in one of the USPS/Fedex/UPS flat rate express envelopes.

Just called again. Still waiting for NVC to complete final review before completion. I look forward to finding out its complete by tomorrow.

SankuNiku - looks like you sent the AOS and IV packets on the same day. did you just send them in the same packet. or did you send two different packets. i may have to send them together, this way i can save the $16 for the express mailing

For those who are tyring to get your IIN, before you give up, give it a last try and tell them upfront that you want IIN for your records and not to make any online payments. See if that works.

I have tried that but it seems like operator at NVC got memo from there BIG boss about not giving out IIN over the phone. Who knows. I'll just wait for my AOS bill to come in mail.
