Sorry about your delay. Is it possible it might be cleared up sooner? Good luck.

It's ridiculous that after all these dollars paid-in-advance to these morons, they're still not getting the work done. I can't help but ###### about it.

Just take a deep breath - you have come so far already. I know it is hard when you think you are finally getting to the end of this madness but you will eventually get there. Just hang in - get through today, then tomorrow. Just one day at a time. Everyone here on VJ feels your frustration and has at some point thought about just giving up. We are all here for you. (F)

i dont understand...form I-824 is not meant to correct mistakes. if there is an error in approval on part of USCIS, you have the right to request expedite processing...you are missing details here..please share details so we can help...quiting is not going to help..you have to find a solution to the problem...it should not take 6 months...i highly doubt it...unless your case is in AP at NVC then it may take a few weeks not months...thanks!

AOS and IV, although related, are typically treated as separate processes per se.

It is typical for them both to be reviewed by a supervisor AFTER being reviewed by a case agent.

If you didn't get an RFE, and you know everything is correct (you have a photocopy of the package at home to review, right?) then there's

no reason to worry. Just wait, and they'll tell you if they need something else. Or you could be pleasantly surprised that your case is complete.

Review your package, and think positive.

4 to 6 weeks is what the operators will ALWAYS say.

It should take 3 to 10 days to review your AOS and IV, as long as there's no problem.

As for the Feb cutoff date...your case is already moving very fast. Before there were guides like Lotto's and James Shortcuts,

it normally took 3 to 6 months to get where you are now. I know sometimes it's not easy, but you have to try to be a little patient.

There is still no case of mine at NVC. How long does it take NVC to receive the case from USCIS?

It usually takes 1 to 2 weeks for NVC to receive your case file. It may physically be in the building, but until it's assigned a number, there's no record of it.

I'm guessing (based on all the recent approvals) that there was a rally at the end of the year to clear out some of the backlog.

Now everyone is back from the holidays, fatter and back to their casual/slow ways.

All the approvals, and more people using shortcuts is most likely creating a bottleneck in the system.

Thanks! I called the NVC again and ended up speaking to the same lady who further clarified what it means to be reviewed by a supervisor, and realized its more normal than it sounds. So I've calmed down. Yes I have copies of everything I sent and after looking again I think everything I sent is correct. So I hope all is best.

If it's with a supervisor, that usually means final review, and you should get a "case complete" within 3 to 7 days.

Looks like you just might make the cutoff. Caveat being, they schedule different countries on different days....that way they're not just sending out a single case file overseas. So if they only schedule your country on Mon, Tues, or Wed....you get the idea.

Good luck.
