I just called NVC and they still dont have my file. I am not sure why it's taking so long. I was approved 12/18.

Hey beniecenvet, I am in the exact same boat! I just called and they still don't have my case! I wonder why.

Seems like every step is making me wait too long, whether I have paperwork ready or not!

Desi - Did you talk to an operator? I was able to get Case #s for both petitions however, nothing has happened so far. I just got the Case # for I-130 although I will re-confirm later in the day. If you don't have it still, you should be able to get it tonight or tomorrow morning.

Yeah, for the past week, I've only gone through the AVR, but since last two calls, I have talked to opetarors... a good one and a bad one! LOL

I would hope they have it by today or tomorrow. It's been quite some time now. It's worrying me a bit.

same here, the first operator was bad and then the second one was more reasonable. they told me the standard answers where it takes 2-4 weeks etc. I am hoping since its the first day open after the christmas break, hopefully they will put our files in the system today/tomorrow.

1-13-2009: IV Bill Generated

1-14-2009: IV Bill shows PAID

1-20-2009: Sent AOS Packet

1-21-2009: Sent IV Packet

1-23-2009: NVC scanned both AOS/IV

1-29-2009: CASE COMPLETE

3-02-2009: First Medical

3-09-2009: Second Medical (Albania requires 2)

3-11-2009: INTERVIEW (PASSED!!!)

3-13-2009: Received VISA!!!

i think the real work will resume after january 1st. but lets keep up the hopes.

i am not going too crazy about NVC working. i guess i am used to the torture at VSC that I will gladly accept a few more days of wait :) (not too much, mind you ;) )

thanks cmnb :) my bday is on the 9th so i'm hoping that i get to complete my case by then. i have paid my AOS fee and submitted the DS3032 and the Affidavit form and papers, so now i'm waiting for the green light on the DS302 part and i'll be done. i have all my papers so i just need the GO from them. also the visa specialist aren't working so i guess i'll have to wait till monday the 5th to find out if i made it to the feb interview list.

Hi,

I have noticed many people stating that their interview date won't happen till 2 months like Feb or so. How do you know it'll take that long.

I am sending in the DS-230 today and this is the last thing I need to send in. I expect them to input this into the system by 1/10 as well as the i-864 (AOS) by 1/12. My wife is in Singapore. Assuming I get no RFE, any chance she can get an interview early Feb?
