Looking forwrad to see what Date does CJ get, I am sure Mumbai n Delhi Consulates are going to be flooded:(

I am so anxious about this NVC thing......I am dead sure I am going to goof up somewhere.....I am praying That I get an interview date in Feb or March.....

Its our anniversary in April.....N I NEED TO BE WITH HIM BY THEN...

If you send all your correct originals with the DS 230, you should be fine. Before you send it off make sure you have everything you need. Double check the forms and make sure you have filled everything out. If you do, then the case complete should be a quick one. The sooner you get the case complete, the more likely you are to get a sooner interview date. Our 2nd anniversary is in March and I totally know what you mean about NEEDING to be with him. I felt/feel that way too. I didn't realize that we had to send the originals with my DS 230 and well... that caused an RFE which is why my case got to the NVC Sept 24, but the case wasn't complete until Dec 1.... so... I am hoping that we get a February date as well... don't know yet. It still hasn't been scheduled. This last month most of the scheduling here at VJ seemed to be in the first week of Dec, but the NVC says the 2nd week is when they schedule.. By the 15-17 of Jan you should know if you have been scheduled for Feb or not... anyways... I hope you get to be with your hubby soon. I sure wish I could be too! Good luck!

Thanks a Million Shiri....

I am doing exactly that...I just pray all goes well:)

I sent 3 DE3032 to my husband...ha ha...One typed and signed...one hand filled and signed...and one blank and signed......

I end up Jumping my darlings nerves when I act like this

Hello,

I know this is irrelevant topic, I need your advice. Thanks so much.

Since we already submitted affidavit of support I-864 to the NVC do we still required to bring/submit original I-864 at the time of interview? Im very confused submitting 2 times sounds doesnt right.

Sorry guys, I found the answer now. Yes I need original on the time of interview. Does your consulate requires original I-864 at time of interview? if not wish we dont need it too because my husband will have to do it again.

Congrats on the approval...sorry to hear you've retained an attorney.

Unless you have a difficult case, you're essentially paying hundreds of dollars for someone to mail your documents.

As for guiding you through the process, there are several guides in the VJ Wiki

I'm partial to the LingChe guide, linked below.

Good luck.

I second that. Ling Ling's guide to NVC helped me get through NVC in 13 days and that was without getting the IIN over the phone. The guide is clear and concise if English is your first language.

Too bad for me that finishing in a record time did not land me a good interview date.

sorry to hear that :(

I had to get after my husband at first to get some of his paper work together - only to have ME hold it up a bit waiting for my birth certificate =p

I think even if you wait for the hard copies it should only be 2 months, not as long as the VSC that's for sure!!!

good luck to you :)

Ja, if it would take another 8 month i'd make him move to Germany!

I already finished and sent off all my paperwork and copies, translations, certificates to him. He only needs to put a date on it and sent it when they're requested. We'll see how long it'll take.. The AVR still says no record though..

WOW!!!!

We're VERY excited to hear this news....I think it's going to be very motivating to others (especially that you did it without getting the IIN over the phone).

Good luck with the rest of your Visa Journey.
