Recent I-130 Approvals (Nov. /Dec.) - NVC Process

yeah i hate it but at least i have a hope! but who knows maybe i'll get into the feb list at the Santo Domingo Embassy as they are giving out interviews dates.

Just waiting for ex-lawyer to get the AOS and IV Bills so i can pay em. Gave up on trying to get IIN on phone. I'll be focused on the K-3 leg of this process in the coming days and hoping I can get my hands on the bill on Friday to resume CR-1 leg. All the docs are waiting to be sent. Just have to wait through the holiday.

Hoping to get at least a February interview.

Any idea how long it takes to get to NVC from VSC once approved?

I think it varies depending on when VSC sends out paperwork to NVC. I have seen that some people were able to get case numbers within 2 business days of their approval while others had to wait for about a week. I was really hoping for our cases to reach NVC today. There is still half a day left

Siyaram, did your case reach NVC? I see Aman has the case at NVC (approved 12/18).

I checked then AVR and spoke to an operator, but both say there's no record.

Desi - I called last night and spoke to operator. She told that the case has arrived in the building but will take few days to enter into system. I called NVC again this morning and the AVR still said "no records". I am planning to talk to operator again tonight to see if it has been entered. Call tonight and see if they have the case or its entered in the system. Our cases should have reached NVC at the same time. Also, I am not sure if Aman was a transfer to CSC. If so, her case would have come from CA.

Ok, I'll give it a try. Hopefully my case was with the same shipment as yours! LOL I am not sure about Aman's case whether that was a tranferred case.

also, i am very confused about something. now that the case is approved at USCIS and it is almost the end of the year. if my AOS streches to Januaury, do you think they will let me slide with 2007 tax returns only? or will they need 2008 returns? i dont have a problem with 2008 returns, its just that W2s will take a few days for me to file the tax returns. what is everyone else doing?

also, i am very confused about something. now that the case is approved at USCIS and it is almost the end of the year. if my AOS streches to Januaury, do you think they will let me slide with 2007 tax returns only? or will they need 2008 returns? i dont have a problem with 2008 returns, its just that W2s will take a few days for me to file the tax returns. what is everyone else doing?

This is what I think and by no means I am an expert to comment on this. Officially, you have until April 2009 to file taxes for 2008. As long as you have recent pay stubs that shows you are still employed and paying taxes, 2007 year taxes should be OK. If they would enforce having 2008 year tax proof, there would be unncessary delay for many applicants like us.

My case has been speeding along so far at NVC. Was able to pay both bills online this week.

Now I've got to complete the details on my wife's DS230 to get ready to send in (maybe Saturday)?

If everything goes smoothly, we could have case complete by early next year! I wish all members

I called up on Tuesday Morning......around 8: 30 a.m. This lady was realllllllyyyyyyyyyy nice, I just asked if she has got My file from USCIS...n she said YES...Please take down your case number........Then just fror the Heck of it I checked the AVR...It was also updated I will call on Monday moring to check if my DS-3032 has been genrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is my 2 cents for what it is worth. When you submit your I-864 and the copies... that is good for a year. SO... Use the most recent tax return and take that with you to your interview. If you do taxes after that and want to bring that with you to the interview, then good, but I would say it is not neccessary. You just have to bring the originals to the interview. My case was completed at the NVC on Dec 1.

If you send all your correct originals with the DS 230, you should be fine. Before you send it off make sure you have everything you need. Double check the forms and make sure you have filled everything out. If you do, then the case complete should be a quick one. The sooner you get the case complete, the more likely you are to get a sooner interview date. Our 2nd anniversary is in March and I totally know what you mean about NEEDING to be with him. I felt/feel that way too. I didn't realize that we had to send the originals with my DS 230 and well... that caused an RFE which is why my case got to the NVC Sept 24, but the case wasn't complete until Dec 1.... so... I am hoping that we get a February date as well... don't know yet. It still hasn't been scheduled. This last month most of the scheduling here at VJ seemed to be in the first week of Dec, but the NVC says the 2nd week is when they schedule.. By the 15-17 of Jan you should know if you have been scheduled for Feb or not... anyways... I hope you get to be with your hubby soon. I sure wish I could be too! Good luck!
