humpkinpumpkin & JJ - read the entire Twilight series & seen the movie! Totally written for teens & I'm certainly far from that - I couldnt put it down. Now my mom, daughter, aunt and cousin are into it too!

Aymsgirl & Tam (?) - my hubby & teenage daughter agreed on their own to be very good friends for the time being as they continue to get to know eachother. He has asked if he'll have any authoratative (sp correct?) role & naturally he will as they'll share the same household and no doubts he'll be a male role model. Her dad is overly involved in her life which I'm thankful for as she adores him & remains close to his family too.

As for the angst & drama of teen girls - OMG going through the same thing at home. My gurl is soooo sensitive & gets her feelings hurt easily - complete opposite of me! Girls can be so caddy at that age & everything is a big deal! Add on cheerleading & boys, I so cant wait 'til graduation!

Malek kept waking up the other night and the last time he was about to blow his diaper off with enough gas to fuel a jet plane and I later found out my daughter actually gave him a spoonful of freaking chili the night before. I was so pizzzzzzzzzzzed at her!! She thinks she is his mother at time, lol!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! Hope its a good one...........I'm off today, but have a little guy home from school sick.

By the way 12 is a good age for girls just wait till 14 hits............OMG its quite a ride. I never know from one day to the next what kind of drama is gonna unfold and the interest in boys hits high gear at this point. The birth control thing I think its totally backwards...........My thinking is you should take a pill when you WANT to have a baby, not the other way around. Invented by a man I'm sure??......lol.

I told all 3 of my kids from day 1 (including my son)

dont even ask to "date" or go on a date until 16

so much for that

this world has just gotten so fast for these kids, it is scary

my daughter, is 12 going on 21...too much make up, too short skirts and shorts

and she is definitely BOY CRAZY...I remember being her age and had a few a few "boyfriends" by that time

but it was so innocent...no we gotta worry about too much

the problem is 2 separate households = 2 sets of rules

if the rules are established and put into effect from a young age you have a good chance for the respect and obedience to be in check, by 12, if you let them go too far, you lose control

my current husband has already made it very clear that our child or children would be raised quite differently

and honestly speaking I dont want our daughter on lock down BUT I do want certain things refused until she would be much older than our AMERICANIZED daughters...without the help of your spouse and in laws, etc it is not easy to keep

the children within the boundaries....it takes a village

omg Tasha, CHILI! I would have killed her! Yea, I think it may be his teeth, or just another growth spurt. I was rubbing his legs and it was calming him down. After About 4 hours I doped him up with some tylenol and sang "twinkle twinkle little star" over and over about 800 times til he finally submitted and closed his restless eyes ...I hate to complain but its like when you have a child who has slept 12 hours a night since birth, and BAM one night he does the opposite, it kinda throws me off ya know? I will survive, I feel better after a nice shower and some homemade french toast.

Im soo glad I dont have a girl yet to worry about dating and such. I secretly want a lil girl but would be completely satisfied with all boys...I know my life would be a lot easier with only boys, not that sofyan is a strict muslim but its just too hard where I live to keep a lil girl "innocent" even the school at the mosque is FAMOUS for all its students having sex , etc...I have a lot of muslim friends whose parents did EVERYTHING right, yet, they are secretly doing EVERYTHING they shouldnt be...

Kelly if it's not his teeth it might be that he's prone to growing pains. I'm not sure if that's a proven medical thing or not but Megan used to get them all the time. She still gets them a bit in her hands, feet and sometimes her legs. I just used to give her some tylenol and rock her back to sleep and when she was older just rub her legs and hands. Sure enough after each bout of pain she'd grow like a weed! Emily never got these so I don't know why some do and some don't.

My laptop is up and running! Finished all the updates and things late last night...YAY! We didn't lose a thing off it and everything was saved/restored!

Kelz, I know that feeling...LOL. Zain was up screaming last night too. Then he puked all over me in bed...lovely. I was so thru, but hubby took care of it and then got him off to bed and I got a foot soak and massage out of my stressful day! Woot! Woot!

I'm at work...don't wanna be here! *stomps feet*

STAR....WOOHOO! Gym and Cookies sound fun...I want some! Good luck tonight honey! I'm going to try and be there but I have back to back appointments tonight. Plus a show to go to for my hubby! If I can't make it ...u guys are in my thoughts and prayers girl! BIG HUGS!!

Bridget -so sad about your daughter! I can remember being that age (guess it wasn't TOO long ago!) Teenage years are hard, I know mine were brutally hard and I know I grew up way faster than I should have. Hubby and I have had the "what if we have a daughter talk" and basically he is overprotective and woudl want her shut away in a room. I'm not of that same thought process. As for our boys gosh time will only tell I have a few years to figure it out!

Youssef went again today to try the biometrics, this time there were 4 ppl in front of him and it took like 15 minutes. I could have screamed!! But at least it's done now. How does it work to have 51 people one day (a Tuesday nonetheless) to 4 people on Wednesday at the same time in the same location??? Argh!!! Now it's time to wait for the rest of the processing....

We are doing alright here, just so stinking busy! Jihed has been working Monday through Friday, scheduled 8 am to 3:30pm but they keep asking him to get there at 7:30am and keeping him until 3:30 or later. He also worked the Thanksgiving holiday which was crazy busy and this morning he called me all super excited and said the seafood manager came up to me today (new department that's opened) and said she wants me to work with her Monday through Friday 4pm to 9pm I said what? You are going to work every day from 7:30 am to 9pm? Are you sure??? He said YESSSSSS!!! I really want to and I told her yes so she's going to my manager and clearing it with him (he's stocking, deliveries, maintenance, etc) Looks like I might not see him at all during the week lol

Annie shut up about your weather - it's so cold here I can see my breath outside!! LOL And I want more new pictures too the mms aren't enough to keep me satisfied!!
