My son got his deer, but with two shots this time, first one was in the neck, but he saw the deer suffer, so quickly fired a second shot directly to it's head and killed it instantly. He does not like to see animals suffer. He takes the meat to a processing plant to make sausages, while I am not exactly a deer meat fan, they do taste pretty good.

Most of the deer in Wisconsin will starve to death in our ice cold winters and lack of greenery, the population is huge, so do not be too sympathetic. Any form of meat has to be killed, generally the quickest is way is to slit their throat and let them bleed to death....

Also the healthiest (to consumer--due to meat being blood-free) way, as well as tastiest; and exactly the basis-action of both kosher and halal.

^^^Yep. I dropped a 300 lb wild hog at 75 yards 2 weeks ago with a small caliber (.223 FMJ). Neck shots usually drop em like stones.
