My I-130 was recieved and the case # beginning with EAC showed up on line the same day I recieved my NOA1 in the mail. I did notice the number was one digit different then what showed on the back of my cancelled check! But all is good on that end. As for my I-129F It was recieved on the 13th of November and the date showing on the NOA1 I recieved was for the 14th of November. Pretty quick. However, the case # beginning with EAC on my 129 NOA1 still does not show up on line. Does it normally take a while. At the moment I'm not really sure if my I-129F is registered in the system even though I have my NOA1. I'm kind of hoping for the K3 because of time. Thanks!

The EAC # that shows up on your NOA1 is the correct one and the one you will stick with throughout this whole process. As for it appearing online, I would call them and verify that they do have it in their system and I would say you can ask them about it appearing online. But if you have your NAO1 then you don't have anything to worry about whether it shows up online or not. Just make sure you call them and make sure that they are working on it since that's what I would be most concerned about. Best wishes!

When going through Bogotá K3 and CR1/IR1 visas are taking almost the same amount of time. If you're on top of things when your case is at the NVC and use the online payment system, the CR1/IR1 ends up being faster than a K3. Not to mention a lot less expensive and less time consuming after the interview.

Sorry "Case number". I am actually using the San Jose Costa Rica route as Costa Rica is where we met and married. Is the CR1 actually faster then the K3 after being approved and transfered to the NVC. I'm questioning because any amount of time quicker is a benafit to us. $450 a month rent plus 200 bucks a month phone bill plus another plane ticket to CR adds up to more then the difference of the AOS fee. So allready I am spending more then the cost difference of the VISA for any extra month of the process. To add more cost, I live in a seasonal town (Ocean City MD) which she probably won't get there untill at least late August - September next year (meaning jobs will be non existing------even on a good year) So the need for a drivers licence right away is nill because she has to go to class to learn how to drive. That will take a couple of month's , so a social security number won't be needed right away. She can wait a few month's. Just looking at all angles. I know at first glance the CR1 might be a better VISA but after looking at all the angles is it really.
