Congratulations and have a safe trip to the US of A. It has been a long journey indeed for you girl! Always remember that patience is a virtue. God makes all things beautiful in his time. -- Marie

Hokey Smoke!

Rocky: "Baby, are they still mad at us on VJ?"

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."

Dear Ria,

There was something that I always wanted to tell you during the latter stage of your own personal visa journey but wasn't able to do so. I'd like to say it in here so that the others may know and hopefully also learn from this. Forgive me if I do not have the right words to say this. But I'll try to do my very best. (Hey, I'm your Mr. Psychologist, I don't talk, I listen! And I'm a guy so what do you expect? :) )

The JOURNEY is not about the VISA but the REAL JOURNEY starts when the VISA arrives. :)

Wishing you and the man of your dreams Steph and the other man of your dreams Little Kenzo, the very best in your new life. God Bless. :)

As I write this, Im leaving behind all the painful memories I had in this journey. My dear vj friends, this is it! Im not dreaming, my visa is finally here!!!:dance::dance:

As corny as it may sound, please allow me to make my ala Oscar awards speech.

First of all, I would like to say that I have forgiven my first consul (its so amazing what a visa can do huh? lol!) and my scumbag ex. All is forgiven and forgotten now. My journey hasn't been smooth as everyone knows, but it was not entirely horrible. For one, it made me become matured and I gained knowledge. In fact, there were lawyers and one judge who asked me if I studied law because I know a lot about annulments. HAHAHA! Another thing, I gained friends and these are quality friends. I got a lot of PMs giving me support and offering help and prayers. In this regard, I would like to mention a few people. You are all part of my story...

PINAYWIFE- the Gabriela Silang of the Philippines forum, my mentor (like my kung fu master, hahaha!)

dbears- my batchmate (January filer), one of the vjers that caught my attention the first time I joined vj cuz she always makes sense without being arrogant, and also my spiritual adviser. Thank you for always dropping by to ask how I am and for the support and being there to congratulate me.

Kathryn41- from Canada forum. Thank you for your inspiring words.

ManilaIdaho- my instant bestfriend. You will be amazed at how this lady handles her problem- with laughter. She cheered me up during my down days.

Honeybadger- we have the same consul and that's an icebreaker for us. We both had nightmares after the interview. Hey, we can laugh about it now.

Nickoftime- my instant attorney! Offered to help me when I was having problems with my documents. She didnt send me a bill! HAHAHA! Joke lang attorney!

JoseRizal- my analyst and psychologist! My napakasakit kuya eddie listener! Kuya, don't ask me why you. You helped not only me but a lot of people.

Jamesnrei- for starting a thread that helped a lot of people. I was at the top of your list but I know you felt bad that I stayed at the top for so long! HAHAHA!

Mike & Zandy- Zandy cried with my story. They would always PM me and still remembered to congratulate me.

And to everyone (you know who you are) who cried with me, laughed with me, offered help and support and prayed for me, I cant thank you enough.

Also, I would like to say a few words about my fiancee... Stephen had always been positive about this journey. I never really felt that he lost faith that we will get it. The process was so difficult but the relationship is stress free! I think that's how we survived. Stephen would always say- "I will wait as long as it takes Ria because you are the only woman for me". This is the preview of the man that I am going to marry. This is how I know that we will last a lifetime!

And the most important of all... God. Thank you so much. With you nothing is impossible. Thank you for the wonderful Christmas gift. Thank you for the miracle!

In behalf of my fiancee Stephen, I would like to thank the awrd giving bodies for giving me "The LEGEND" award!:lol:

WOW! Congrats Ria!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

I am truly happy for you!!! Finally after 48 years of waiting u finally have it!!!!!

Praise God ! This is truly a wonderful christmas gift!

Stay safe and hope to see u online! hehhe

Thank you, thank you everyone!!! Im even surprised with the people who congratulated me.

Jose Rizal,- I know the real journey starts after I get the visa. You know my story, you know my past. While everyone had a very easy K1 journey, (some got the visa in 3 months) I on the other hand had a very bumpy ride. But it made me a better person so no regrets. I am only thankful because Ive seen couples break up during the journey because they lost hope and faith in the process. They either fell out of love or they didnt overcome the terror of stress. Some would have the visa but had a change of heart because of the long wait. Separating ways or giving up was never an option for Stephen. Given the drama that we've gone through, I am not afraid to face future conflicts as long as we are in it togeter.

Bevs- I didnt mention you but you have to know that I always read your post and we talk about you cuz you always make us die laughing!

Kaye- yeah, you are one those people I bug even during unholy hours!!! HAHAHA! Thanks... rest assured that I will be there to congratulate you when you get your visa

Ria: Like what I've told you before on several occasions: It's worth it! - Enough said. :)
