Finally done at SLEC

Today, upon arriving at SLEC for my daughter's xray result, I got the wonderful news that she only needed her 2nd chickenpox vaccine and end her medicals. We arrived at SLEC at 1:40pm (her appointment was 2pm), went up to the second floor and gave the guard there her receipt which was picked up after about an hour (NOTE: hers was the only receipt in the box). Waited another hour or so, still not called at the check-out counter. My impatience got the better of me and I went up to the front to ask what the deal was? Was told that they had to wait for the (darned) doc to go through her papers..like how hard is it to read that her xray was negative? So, I go back to my seat and after another half-hour was called to the counter to sign her papers. Now, after that stage, the person at check-out bring the finished papers to the immunization room and the applicant waits to be called. Another half-hour passed and the person who was BEHIND me in line got called to the immunization room. I thought that somebody was in charge of vaccines for the adults and another in charge of the kids. Then a couple more names were called...still not us. So...losing patience again, I went to the room and asked if my daughter was going to be called anytime soon. They looked at the files in the room and hers was not there Now Gracey REALLY loses patience now and tells them rather sternly that the child's papers had been brought in earlier and pointed out people who were behind me in the line at the check-out having been given their vaccines with my daughter yet to be given hers. They called the man who had held my daughter's papers..and it took him a while to produce it. I was soooo mad. My daughter has been awake since 6:30am (she had classes) and I have had little sleep the night before and was also from work, driving through the mad Manila traffic and the past gov't protesters just to make it in time for her follow-up. We were finally done at the second floor past 5pm. Imagine that???5pm! Downstairs at the releasing section, there was sa group of adults who saw my outburst and told me that there had been people in the 2nd floor who had sweet-talked the check-out conter people to put their files ahead of others Like we all weren't in a hurry!!!!! Finally out of SLEC at 6:30pm. Geeeeeez.....

So...to all about to have their medicals, keep a close eye on your file/receipt. Take note of the people being called before and after you. This is a first-come, first-served thing; the only process not first-come, first-served is the releasing process.

Thankfully, I am done with this step.

Thank you guys. I am relieved much, also knowing that our little girl is healthy. Met sasha414 and, well, I wish her all the luck as well.

Onwards to USEM....and hopefully a blessed holiday
