I'd like for you guys to tell me what this letter means. We were touched last friday and monday after almost a year of nothing, and we received this letter yesterday. I could call USCIS but i think you guys are smarter ;)

In october 2005, you or the designated rep shown below, contacted us about your case. Some of the key information given to us at the time is the following:

Caller indicated they are: Applicant

Case type: I485

Filing date: 08/04/2004

.....

Type of service: Non-delivery

The status of this service request is:

the system shows that on 12/12/05 we received the Request for Additional Evidence. Your case is still pending, because as of 12/19/05, the system shows Ready for Interview Scheduling.

If you have further questions............................................

WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN? AND WHY IS THE TYPE OF SERVICE A NON-DELIVERY..

When you made an inquiry was it about something not being received from USCIS? thats what the non delivery is about. This is just a reply to an inquiry you would have made about your case. It seems that you sent additional evidence to them and that your case has been scheduled for an interview already.

thank you sanaay for your response. I called earlier USCIS and the guy told me that i should wait whatever amount of time it told me online after i responded to the RFE (120-180 days), and it should be less than 180 days..

So if we go by their maximum, and knowing 2 mths have already passed, theoretically i still have about 4 more mths to go! yessss!

Hopefully im one of those that gets approved without an interview..

oh and yes, i had made an enquiry about why i was not recieving the RFE.. It took me almost a year to know what USCIS wanted in their RFE! A couple of wks after the enquiry, we found out what USCIS wanted in their RFE via the congressman.
