hey that is understandable! I am not a real lover of flying, though I can do it without panicking, but who wants to see a plane crash while you are in a plane for hours and hours?

Me. I wouldn't mind watching "Die Harder" or some such movie in flight.

They make portable DVD players now

You could watch every terrorist related disaster movie out there. That would be hilarious.

I'm sure that if one did that on a US bound or originating from the US flight that someone in the vicinity would feel "offended" and alert the flight staff.

I think you'd have more of a case to complain if some guy sat next to your 6 year old and proceeded to watch a porn flick off his laptop hard-drive.
