There is a specific lawyer who specializes in cases at HCMC; his name is Marc Ellis. Many of the people on this forum have used him to prevent their cases at HCMC getting sent back to the US. It is in your best interest to have legal help to do this as in all odds writing will have no success. His website is http://www.marcellislaw.com/ . You can search through the forums here for other people's feedback on him. I have not used him but most at HCMC do.

You do not have time to "dink" around... By the time the consulate general would even consider even reading your letter, your case file will be gone and then you are screwed.... seriously

Payxibka keeps beating me to the punch. I definitely would not "trifle" with this. You have a very short amount of time before this gets sent back. I would not delay for a second. Consul generals usually do not give out their addresses, and if you actually believe they read the mail they receive, you are deluding yourself. You have one chance to get this right. Do not trifle and call some legal representation tomorrow. I am not sure what you think you can tell the consul general that your wife did not already say. Take it seriously and do not delay.

The Consulate is in HCMC, not the US. The only agency to speak with here would be USCIS, which is where the case would be returned to. I concur with the rest, better get representation fast. Even if it is returned it's not the end of the world. It just means another couple of years.

I think therefore you are screwed....

People are trying to help you here... time to get your head out of your ### and understand what your options are..... A letter to the Consulate General in HCMC is not one..... If your file is returned to the USCIS... you can just about kiss your petition goodbye....

any Vietnamese couples who got denied on their case who ended up able to get their Visa issued?

I would appreciate it if you share your story?

I went to a lawyers today and they wanted me to sign a contract for $10K to work on my case.

anyone know what an average cost for a lawyer to work on your case is?

The organization I talked to is a member of I think "American Immigration Association" or something like that, I don't know if that is something to consider.

anyone care to share?

DON"T USE THAT LAWYER!!!!!!

Contact Marc Ellis. Others will be along to vouch for him. Yes, others have been approved. You need to go the marriage route if it's returned (K-3 or IR/ CR 1).
