Tourist visa while CR1 visa !!

Our CR1 visa still not approved , In fact we just apply I-130 in 25 Nov 2008

and i wana to be with here when the baby come so can i apply for tourist visa??!!

with telling them that i wana to go for the pregnancy of my wife ?

anyone tell me please what can i do !!

Congratulations! There is probably no way you can get a tourist or any other visa to come from Egypt to the U.S. There is no medical emergency of any kind that would make you eligible, and the Embassy will undoubtedly conclude that you really don't intend to return to Egypt once you visit the U.S. You can try, but it will probably not work.

Congratulation brother ,so there is something called expedite you can use it in some cases so try it by calling the USCIS and see what they will tell you

I am ALMOST positive that pregnancy does not qualify for an expedite.

Congratulations on your wife's pregnancy!!

You can always apply for a tourist Visa, the difficult thing will be proving ties to your home country. The CO may view the fact that your wife is having a baby as a reason to indicate that you will not return. Filing the I130 shows intent to immigrate to the US. I think that the tourist visa would likely be denied. But that is only my opinion.

I am sorry that you guys have to go through pregnancy being apart but as others have stated, it is almost impossible to get a tourist visa since you are from Egypt.

You can always try, will only cost you $131 or whatever the current rate is, so there is no harm in trying but just be prepared for the denial.

We were in your situation last year. I ended up having the baby without my husband being here. We weren't able to get any help from USCIS at all, no expedite and no tourist visa. I hope that your journey goes fast for you and she has a healthy pregnancy. Congratulations!
