Happy birthday (F)

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT

omigosh, i am such an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jest:

i came on VJ and somehow missed this post and i felt soooooooooooo bad that no one remembered my bday.

i peeked in and out a few times over the last few days, but i've been busy dealing with some other unrelated #######. lol.

then i was looking to see what abby (pax) was up, since i know she's moving soon, and found this post! :blush:

you guys totally ROCK! :thumbs::luv: *hugs*

and i have to thank the VJers that have made this past year so great (yes its my VJ anniversary too! i signed up on my bday last year!) especially abby who has been with me from almost day 1 and even though she got the k-1 first, i am determined to win the AOS race! :yes:

doing the official bday celebration this weekend since jig had to work monday... but he did bring home the most amazing cake... it was chocolate & vanilla cake with layers of chocolate and white chocolate and covered in chocolate. my organs nearly shut down from the chocolate but damn, it was worth every calorie-laden bite! :D

it sucks that i didn't get to see my family... but of course they all started calling from 8am (mom was first as always). this is our family cake season... from late may to late august, almost everyone has a bday or anniversary... mom's bday, mom and dad's anniversary, both sister's anniversaries, oldest sister's bday, niece's bday, cousin's bday, grandmother's bday, godmother's bday. so almost every weekend all summer long, we are eating bday cake! not so good for the body, but oh well... :whistle:

i was a little down because of not-working thing, but i'm trying my best to stay upbeat about things... networking with some of my countrymen/women so that i can find a job as soon as that EAD is in my hot little hands...

again. THANKS GUYS & hopefully once this AOS gets moving, i can post more than "congrats" & such. (F)
