Yes, pensacola is very pretty - but nothing beats Destin for me! Love the water taxi's! And the clear blue water! If it weren't for the hurricanes, I would prob be living there - they are bad enough in NOLA! :jest:

;)

ya, i'm good on living with constant hurricanes and just visiting when it's safe. i think it feels better to visit somewhere beautiful than to live there anyway, you'd get too used to it in the end and not feel the value of it.

Visiting allows you to see the nice side, living you get all the dirt! I felt that way about Cumbria. Went there last June/July - breathtaking, but the thought of those mountains in the winter, brrrrr! We always have our pictures to stir the memories!

And I will take tropical heat over snow/ice any day of the week! Although these cold fronts that are coming through.....better quit complaining, I know you are much colder than I right now, or are you stateside at the moment?

i'm in the uk right now and its freezing! yesterday the windchill was 21f but luckily there's no rain so no ice or anything.

cumbria is lovely but i don't like the cold. it is probably colder up there than down here, what a scary thought. :o this is one of the reasons why i want to move to mississippi, it's mostly warm there, i like that. :)

i wish i was going back for christmas but it is looking like i'm just going to have to ride the cold out until some time in january. are you seeing your man over christmas?

I'd tell the Dr. doing your medical that you need a copy of your blood work so that you can obtain your marriage license. If he won't oblige, you'll probably have to have it done again. Your future husband will also need one as well.

I'd ask the Dr. who might very well give you a copy of that specific test result.

No, :crying: am taking my son back to Oklahoma to see the family. And that will be a good thing - 'cept for the cold factor!

He is back in "demode" in Gulfport this week, said he had ice on his car yesterday morning! Ice in Gulfport! YUCK! But we are bouncing back up to the 70's today (F) !!! Wonderful thing about the south, don't like the weather give it 30 mins and it will change!

If my love doesn't interview this month, I am planning on heading over for New Years Eve. We didn't spend the last one together, and silly me thinks what you are doing on New Years Day is how you will spend the year. So I want to spend it in his arms! Even if it is freezing over there! :hehe:

The cold makes for good snuggling weather! ;)

I wanted to make clear that the MBE (mysterious brown envelope) that the beneficiary brings over with them includes medical documents from your physical abroad. These documents are not turned over to you. They are sent to the USCIS district office closest to where you will reside. ;)

Another reminder that it's important to get a record of your vaccinations at your medical to submit at AOS.

And you get THE WHOLE YEAR!

demode = demobilization, turning in gear getting health and mental checks and loads of fun stuff!

Uhm - regarding KimandRuss - they don't get a copy of the medical stuff? Steve said he didn't get anything from the medical - they sent all of it to the embassy and told him they would only contact him if something negative came back. Seems like you pay for it, so you should get a copy of everything! Boy I expect a lot!

Snuggling...oh I miss that!!!! :crying:

Hopefully will be doing just that in another month!

Some panel physicians routinely hand over the vaccination record DS-3025. I always advise people to request it at the physical.

No, you do not get your medical paperwork back. In fact, there is much discussion about the medical paperwork being 'lost' in transition from POE to the uscis office. :(

You are suppose to have a civil surgeon transcribe your DS-3025 to the I-693 for purposes of AOS.

hmmmm, wonder if it is too late for him to request that - he had the medical at the end of July. Don't think the vac rec is going to be an issue - he has been bouncing over here on various j and h visa's for the last 10 years. And I can't see them lettitng him coach kids without an up to date record. But, what do I know - it's all a learning curve for me!

Guess I need to start all the AOS research and learn now! Was putting that off until he got the visa in his hands - procrastination is such a silly passtime! LOL! But was bogged down in the he over here vs me over there red tape! One never knows until the interview!

thanks for the heads up!

In the US embassy in Zagreb, Croatia they made sure they give me a copy of the entire medical paperwork so I have it for my files. It is the same with the embassy in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Talking about CR-1/IR-1 visa medical.

I thought you should, but have no experience with this!

Any London Embassy people get copies of their medical paperwork for the K-1?

It seems as inconsistent as everything else in this process. :( I only knew because I had to wait so many years to file for my love...plenty of time for research. ;)

Yes, he will need proof of his vaccinations for AOS. A civil surgeon is to transcribe his vaccination records onto the form I-693 and then sign for you to submit with AOS paperwork.

If he enters on a K-1 then he will not need another medical (if his was within the last year). Of course, now the TB test is required and since none of us more recent approvals had this done overseas, and the CS's wont sign off on a test done later, nobody seems to know quite what to do.

allegedly - they lost nessa's and we had to get a whole new medical for her aos filing. :ranting:
