blood test to obtain marriage license

i'm a little confused. i was looking at the procedures for obtaining a marriage license in mississippi and i read that both my partner and i need a blood test to prove we don't have syphilis. as the non-usc i have had my medical with the blood test to check for syphilis as part of it. do i really need to have another blood test?

Sounds like proof of the test will be fine.

You should have received a copy of your vaccination record to submit with your I693 at AOS... if not, i'm really not sure if you can get a copy or not.

The County Health Department will probably do the test at no charge. Might be less hassle.

yeah, me too - we were wanting to get married in Destin, FL - but the weather has turned cold and I am a WIMP!

I was under the impression they give you your medical stuff to go thru customs with - will check into it tho and let you know what I find.

ah, destin! if it's anything like pensacola i bet it's pretty. i've read a lot about it and we were going to go but we never made it in the end.

i took kims advice and checked with the ms department of health and they said the blood tests have to be done within 30 days of obtaining the license. i hate needles, not looking forward to that.

Yes, pensacola is very pretty - but nothing beats Destin for me! Love the water taxi's! And the clear blue water! If it weren't for the hurricanes, I would prob be living there - they are bad enough in NOLA!
