Congrats, I have my AOS interview tomorrow. I am new to the site. I will post how our interview went. Is a AOS from tourist visa interview so could be an interesting one.

Anybody know or ever heard how interview for tourist AOS went? What not to say? etc...

We just did our interview today. my hubby did an AOS from a tourist visa (see my timeline)

Anyway, the interviewer did not mention the tourist visa even once! he just was mostly interested in how we met, about our families, etc.

we've been married 5 years

04/20/2004 Got married in the Philippines, and lived between here and there

10/15/2008 Husband arrives in USA on B1/B2 Tourist Visa

12/19/2008 Sent I-130 & I-485 AOS package via USPS Priority

12/21/2008 Package delivered

12/26/2008 NOA's dated for I-1485, I-130, I-131, I-765

03/30/2009 Obtained Green Card

01/24/2012 Mailed in N-400 for Naturalization

01/31/2012 Check for $680 was cashed

August 11, 2014 - received the Biometrics notification

August 14, 2014 - biometrics walk-in (original date August 20)

August 18, 2014 - in line for interview scheduling

September 9, 2014 - yellow letter is received (letter is issued September 3)

November 3, 2014 - interview notice is issued (email/text alert)

November 10, 2014 - interview notice received with the interview date of December 11, 2014.

November 10, 2014 - request to reschedule mailed out

December 5, 2014 - interview notice is sent out (email/text alert)

December 11, 2014 - received an interview letter in mail

January 10, 2015 - interview on Saturday at 7am

Had our interview today. We were verbally approved!! The interviewer asked to see our Id's, birth certs, and marriage cert. Wanted to see my 2008 W2's. Showed her our photo album. She meticulously examined the photos.

She asked how we met and about our families. Pretty painless actually. Just waiting for the GC in next few weeks.

Did not stamp passport, but did take I-94 and EAD.

hey guys quick update on us.

We went down to ss office yesterday and hubbys card should be received within 2 weeks. Checked our AOS status last night and saw case had been touched. again this morning case touched. I hope this is a good thing. No sign of RFE although we had kind of expected one. Its just nice to see touches on AOS.

Oh drat! I spoke too soon case touched again today "request for additional evidence sent" on 4/2/09 can be either of 2 things the medical or my income guess we will just have to wait and see.

same here..didn't stamp my passport or give a paper stating that i will be getting my greencard.

and i'm still waiting for the uscis email for my approval.

is there website still down??

Lynn, how did you checked your touches!

I did it in the way I knew before and the last update says that AP was not even worked on since december, it says application received, and I already have my AP!!!!! I just dont want to travel and if they check on the system it might look like I didnt get anything!

The AOS last update is in january! and it has the same message since then, transfered to the CSC!!!!!!!

Does anyone has the received something lately without CRIS notifying?

Has somebody traveled with AP even CRIS doesnt show any progress?

If you have your AP in your hands, it means it was obviously sent to you and I'm sure the POE officers have a different system than CRIS and we see.... they must have an accurate good system.... Alot of people have not received CRIS notifications. My AP shows last touched on 1.1.09!!

I will let you know next week when I travel home :D but I'm not worried!

hey itzy, I checked touches the regular way through cris, noticed the dates were changing but not the status until it said RFE sent on 4/2. As JillA said I wouldnt worry about AP if you have it in hand obviously it was sent so they have record of it somewhere, maybe they still have not sorted out whatever problems they were having with cris for all claims.
