congrats!!! awesome. you must be relieved.

how did you answer these questions, especially #7?

which boanfides did you bring? why didn't they take any?

1) If i still lived at the same address,

2) How I came here,

3)Is this my first marriage,

4) If I had any children,

5) Do I work,

6)How we met

7) Did my parents come to our wedding.

To question #7 i said No,they were not able to come. All he said was,-yeah, it is not easy to get a visa and probably very expensive. He understood.

We brought plenty of pictures,bills,joint acount, joint tax returns,phone bills,health care plan,printed couple emails from along time ago etc.

He did not ask for anything.

Previously we submited joint account,health care showing that I am on my husbands insuarance, couple affidavits,pictures, cable bill,tax returns for the last 3 years. I guess that was enought for our officer. It is funny how much time i spent organizing everything. But I guess it is better to prepare than not to.

Dec. 22, 2008- received NOAs for I-131; I-485; and I-765 in the mail (yay!)

Feb. 21, 2009- received I-512L (Advance Parole document)

Feb. 24, 2009- biometrics done

Mar. 05, 2009- EAD received

Mar. 05, 2009- case transferred to CSC

Mar. 10, 2009- applied for SSN

Mar. 21, 2009- SSN card received

Apr. 10, 2009- Welcome Notice Received dated 04/06/09

Apr. 13, 2009- Greencard received

Hi all!

I just wanted to post some personal information regarding renewal of DL.

I received the AP documents on monday and I gave a try today at the DL office here in Sarasota,Fl.

They accepted these documents,along with my passport and,my biometrics letter also.

I just thought that this information would be helpful for those located in the state of florida.They renewed it and it will be valid for a year.

Wow... Everyone is getting their AP/EAD/Interviews!!! I haven't logged in a couple of days and what a wave of approvals... That's great to see and congratulations to all!!!

Now I'm growing with anticipation, and I can relate to that mailbox comment, and I am too checking it every day (right after the mailman drives by)... Hoping I will see something this week, or next.

Mimigrant, I can also relate to your situation with no jobs... It's really tough right now. The place I worked at before now declared bankruptcy completely (2700 people laid off!) and they are not even paying people's PTO balances, severance, or healthcare... It's crazy!!! But there are still a lot of openings in the government sector as I understand, if we would qualify for those.

I am sorry to hear this, I hope you are okay even though. I am not sure I will be able to find a job soon, it's pretty scary.

I checked some government jobs and you usually have to be a citizen to apply? I may be wrong. Anyway, at least in my profession, to apply for government jobs you need to have a related license which is quite hard to get, if you didn't study here.

mimigrant - I do not recall where I read this, but in my recollection, as a general matter, US citizenship is required only in a limited government jobs (such as immigration offfice and jobs relating to national security). I am sure once you get a green card, more job opportunies will come along. Good luck for your interview next month and your job hunting.
