Welcome Isa!

Hi everybody, I havent received my biometrics appointment, and it seems must of you had!, I just received a letter telling me I was transfered to California Office.

Do you think this is normal, I just should wait? or should I call USCIS?

Itzy

Thanks Itzy! Maybe your biometrics letter got lost in the mail. I would call USCIS and ask if they have already sent you a letter or not. They should have that information on the system...

Isa.

hello Isa, welcome. I will add you to the spreadsheet. I am Brazilian too. Israeli AND Brazilian. ;)

Hello Everyone! :)

This site is an amazing source of information. I'm proud to be a part of it now.

I'm also a December filer.

The spreadsheet you have is awesome!! Please feel free to add me to it.

JillA, the same thing happened to me. I always forget my SSN # so I just left it blank. I should have told you guys about it.

I just came home from my bio appt... went very well, only thing was that you have to fill out this sheet and it asks for your SSN #, I just got mine but don't keep it on me and it's not memorized, so I told the guy I didn't have it which was OK...

hey Itzy We have not received a bio appt notice yet either and our case was filed a day after yours it does seem like most people have gotten them already tho. maybe ours is lost in the mail with yours lol.

was wondering if it was worth calling on it. Wouldnt it show up on the online status that an appt letter was sent? anyone that has received their notice please let me know if it shows on CRIS thanks

CRIS did not show anything to indicate the letter had been sent. It also didn't show anything to indicate that it had been done afterwards.

See my timeline for my K-1 and AOS/EAD/AP details.

well that stinks, so if i was to call and inquire if a bio appt letter has been sent does anyone know what number i should be ringing?

You can just dail the number at the bottom of the letter from USCIS...

I know that they can find your file since I went to the Field Office without my biometric appointment (I went there because I want to check they can make my biometric appointment earlier) and the people there can find my biometric letter too

thanks for the reply. The only number on the bottom of my letter was for premium processing so I pulled the first notice out of the file to check it out went I through and automated system that gave me info I already knew and obviously there was no one to speak to at the time I called.

Im going to wait a bit longer before I start calling on it, it hasnt been there that long I just just excited when I heard of other cases around the same time frame moving a bit but for every one case thats moving there are 2 are still waiting from what I've seen so im just gonna try and relax a bit about it. Theres enough in life to drive me crazy without worring about something I have no control over

When was the last time you received a letter from USCIS? As I remember from the automated system, u can talk to the ppl there if you didn't receive anything from them more than 15 days or so..........

Hope this can help

the last letter we received was the transfer notice dated te 5th on Jan, what I meant by there was no one to speak to was that I was calling very late at night and as much as I know we all wish someone was there working on cases 24/7 I know there were no reps to speak to. Im really thinking working for USCIS would be a wonderful job and since there are so many cases and so many people out of work at the moment they could hire another few thousand or so? just a thought....

We are still waiting on the bio appt notice as well. I'm not worried about it yet but it does seem like a lot of people got theirs quickly.

Thanks

I placed a service request for biometrics on Friday. The CSR got my personal info like address, birthdate, Alien reg. #, etc and gave me a confirmation number. She said she already placed the request for me from at the procesing center (i forgot which one she told me) but told me to wait 45 days :o and if i don't get a biometrics letter within 45 days, I'll call them back and give the confirmation number. Those who called to place a service request, were u also told to wait that long? oh my, why can't they understand that we call to try to hurry the process a little bit and not to wait for another month? :( I'm really hoping i'll get that freakin' biometrics letter within this week *crossin' fingers*
