Hi everyone! We had our biometrics appointment scheduled for next Friday and we would not make it because we will be out of town. So we decided to try a walk-in today. Absolutely no problems with the ASC in Fort Lauderdale. We just walked in, showed our letter, and waited for about 30 minutes from start to finish. I agree with Oneil's wife...this is by far the easiest step in the process!

I was happily surprised how easy the Bio was! I walked into a waiting room full of angry looking people, so my first thought was, ####, this is goign to take a while! But nope. I didn't even have the paperwork finished when they called me up!

Good luck next week!

As far as I understand and know, those who are adjusting off of a K1 visa usually get transferred to CSC and don't have to have an interview due to the fact that they've already been through an interview in their home country. I might be wrong though!

congrats!

but unless your case gets transferred to CSC or so, I have to warn you that after biometrics there's kind of a slowing in the process, at least for me there was... nothing is happening!

My husbands biometrics appointment is complete! This was the easiest thing we have done with this whole process! There was no one in the office when we went at noon, so we were out of there by 12:10. Maybe now there will be some movement with our case. :innocent:

I am not even a K1, but I read here in VJ about a lot of K1 people having interviews for AOS, so I don't think that's something that happens 100% of the time. I wonder if they they chose who has interviews by the complexity of the case.

As far as I understand and know, those who are adjusting off of a K1 visa usually get transferred to CSC and don't have to have an interview due to the fact that they've already been through an interview in their home country. I might be wrong though!

Sorry if this is really a noob question, but im not really understanding how getting transferred to CSC means no interview. doesnt everyone need to interview? or are there some people that dont need to have an interview? if this is so is it just random luck?

I heard that if they already had an interview at their home country for the K-1 then most times, the case gets transferred to the CSC and sometimes there is no more interview.

Was wondering, do all cases get transferred to somewhere? When mailed to chicago lockbox, everything goes to MSC (missouri service center / the central processing location) ...after that, some gets transferred to VSC, CSC, etc... do some cases just stay there in the MSC and get adjudicated there, or do they all go somewhere else?

Thanks

I think Caroke is updating the formulas when new people are added, so that still needs to be done - I don't know how to do it!

We applied just before Xmas and still havent even gotten our receipt in the mail yet :(

The package was delievered, we know that, but we paid by postal order so cant see if thats been cashed yet. It worries me that everyone else seems to have got theirs so quickly- and makes me wonder if we somehow made a mistake!

Missing someone gets easier everyday because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will.
