Got our biometrics appointment letter today. Our appointment is on January 6th in Rhode Island. Unfortunately, we are on our honeymoon in Disneyworld until the 7th! We didn't go on our honeymoon right after we married since I had no vacation time left, and of course we get his Bio Appt when we are not going to be home :angry: Does anyone know if the office in Rhode Island does walk ins? has anyone had to reschedule their appointment?

Removal of Conditions

12/24/10 - Mailing I-751 Package!

12/27/10 - Package received at Vermont Service Center

12/31/10 - Check cashed

01/04/11 - Received NOA dated 12/28/10

Maybe scheduling an infopass will be the best so you can get a diret answer? I'm sure they allow applicants to reschedule.....

Yeah I am so excited for Disney! He has never been so I can't wait! Instead of registering for gifts at our wedding, through Disney, we registered for our honeymoon, so I got all this money on a gift card and I wanna spend on some mickey ears, not leave early for his Bio appt. The notice does say if you need to reschedule to mail a copy of the notice back to the Rhode Island office, I just don't want this to be a major setback. I wanna keep up with everyone else! :star:

Yeah, I made a mistake of sending everything through certified mail so I can't see delivery confirmation, but the way they explained it to me in the post office is that I should be getting something in the mail saying the package was delivered... But based on what I've been seeing I'm hoping to get our NOAs in the mail next week, or the week after at the latest (if delayed due to holidays)... I sent the packet off on Dec. 12th, so it was probably delivered 12/15-12/16... But I agree the spreadsheet is great to track progress and calm you down when nothing comes in the mail just yet...

You should have received a confirmation number/tracking number if you sent the package certified. If you have that, go the USPS's website and request that you receive all (including previous) updates on your package. This will allow you to view when and who received you package. :thumbs:

:dance::dance: Great news sweets!!! :dance::dance:

:dance: Awesome News!!! :dance:

I know, I know! It must be difficult to prove a relationship before the marriage and living in different countries!

Btw, just checked my mailbox, got the Biometrics appointment, yay. This is what's so great about this forum - based on the ones before you, you kind of know when you will get your stuff, and it super calms you down!

Notice Date: 12-15; Appointment: 01-02; Location: In Brooklyn, one subway station from my house!

lol...I wouldn't necessarily call K-1 visa lucky. We already had to go through the interview and proving our relationship step. It's not that we get to skip it exactly...it's just that we already did it. :)

I'm getting worried because I mailed my package to Chicago on Dec. 17th, priority mail so 2-3 biz days. When I track it online, (I mailed it from Philly) it states it went from Philly-Jersey-Atlanta!? Why is my package in Atlanta when it was supposed to go to Chicago!? :unsure: Seems out of the way just a bit!!

eeek. Maybe it's one of the many routes packages follow when they are sent from Philly. Perhaps it's making a grand journey from hot-lanta to the windy city over the weekend and will arrive on Monday... It will still fit the suggested 2-3 bus. days timeline that USPS guarantees.

Keep your hopes and see what happens come Monday! :)

That is odd...I wonder if the plane got diverted for whether conditions in one of it's originally planned stops. 'Tis the season for airport closures. :)
