I can empathize. The Vermont Service Center has had our I-130 application packet for 98 days (since February 28th) with nothing. They touched it once on March 4, 2006, and nothing since. It drives me nuts not even knowing where it is in the process. Is it in line? On someone's desk? Lost? I wish there was a way to receive actual notice of it's status, rather than a generic message telling you that it is being "processed". Wish I had sent it in a few months earliar! Towards the end of 2005 into Jan/Feb of 2006, VSC was processing applications incredibly fast. I hate this waiting, because it means being separated from my husband. It seems so crazy, being separated by only 400 miles, yet being kept apart by this political boundary. I can see why people immigrate illegally - because it is so time consuming and frustrating to endure the legal method - and because of costs. We'd never do that, but if the U.S. wants to solve it's illegal immigration problems, it's going to have to address it's legal immigration policies.

I hate to say it my friend, but you'll probably have to wait a lot more time than that. When I filed in early January they were only processing December 3. So they've gone 2 weeks in 5 months. I stopped doing the math since it just gets me depressed. You just have to hang in there, cope the best you can, and keep the eye on the prize as they say. Just remember, you're not alone in your journey nor in your frustrations.
