nov 27, thurday:

i arrived there at 4:45 am, i presented to the guard my appointment letter, passport and 1 visa picture, then they give me a papers to fill up,then i go inside. My number is 17, dont worry about number u got, they only used to once to check your paper the one that guard ask u to fill up, its only takes 2-3 mins to check it. After that, u have to wait till they said that the cashier is open then u go to the 5th floor.the rest of the process is first come first serve, or who line first or submit there form first. i paid 10, 667 for medical fee.

Next: Weight and Height

Next: Blood pressure

Next: Eye test, this is where u are to read the letters of the alphabet, in different font size, Im sure u guys experience this during our high school or elementary years

Next: after the eyes test they told me to go to x-ray. when i get there they ask when was my last menstrual period. But since mine is delayed, they ask me to do BLOOD TEST first, so they can check too if im pregnant. They need to do this for your safety (for those who have contacts, vaccines is dangerous if your preggy).

Next: Blood test, u know how blood test is administered guys. no need for explain.

Next: x-ray, u have to take off your clothes, including your bra, put on the robe.Note, every after the exam, they will be the one to say where u go next. You dont go all on same area, others go xray first, or eye test etc. they do this so we dont waste time falling inline on one area. After the x-ray go back to the 5th floor and give your paper to the us counter. wait your name to be called for medical examination where your to undress completely

Next: Medical examination. the doctor will ask u to undress and put the robe on, but dont tie. dr ask me to turn around, if your hair is long, she ask you to pull it up, so she can check your back too. i dont know what they check on that probably if there some skin diseases hiding.dr. then ask me to laydown, check my breast. push my abdomen part then ask to open my legs so she can see my butt, but we will be one to touch our butt. dr didnt ask me to lay down on my tummy. it was quick actually like 5mins tops. After this go back to the us.counter for instruction, afte this they told me to go the immunization interview (2nd flr)

Next: I got inside the immunization room, that time , no one is falling inline or sitting in line,so the dr accommodate me right away.dr ask me if when was my last menstrual period, i said its delayed so she keep on emphasizing that the vaccines is dangerous for pregnant. So, for those delayed, and have sexual contacts, u have to tell them before the x-ray or vaccination that your delayed and that u have sexual contact. the dr reminded me too that after the vaccination, im not allowed to be pregnant one month after it. Note, u dont get vaccination yet during your immunization interview. Also, the doctor asks if u have TB, family members with TB.living with TB, what kind of vaccines u have already, bring records of it if u have. Then base on the result, the doctor will tell u what vaccines ur getting, Age is considered too. After the interview, she told me to go the check out counter. I ask her, why i didnt undergo tuberculin skin test, she said i would find out only after i have the medical result. After this i went to the second floor for check out. They then tell me to go back the next at 9am, some are ask to be back at 10. but what they put on your paper "am" not the exact time. so u can go back there as early as 8 am. I finish my 1st day at slec, around 12:15. Better if you go to your medical with your tummy full.

2nd day!

10:05 presented my passport and payment receipt to the guard inside the slec. The guard will scan your record on the computer to see where ur going next, either for immunization, x-ray, tst.Its base on the medical result on the 1st day. Luckily, i pass so im instructed to go to the 2nd floor for vaccines. i give my paper to them and wait for my name to be called. My name is called at check out counter, they ask me to sign some paper, give to them my passport and 2 visa picture with your name at the back ( please prepare this). then i go back to my sit again and wait for my name to be called to get my shots. My name is called, i got 4 shots. some get 2 or three.its case to case basis. After this they said to go the 1st floor for releasing. Your names will be called there,If your hungry after the vaccination, eat first. takes time before they release your result...Finally i got my result, they called my name. The guys had few questions like when was my last menstrual, they ask me to re check my name, and birth date on the cd ( x-ray result), and how many vaccines i received. then they said that they will be the one to forward my medical result to the manila embassy. All i get is my copy of the vaccines my medical fee receipts...Done!

NOTE:dont worry what floor ur going, they give u guide!very easy where to go!

hope this can help to those who are curious about the medical at slecl

Does is really take 2 days for someone to finish the medical? When my husband (well that was 5 years ago) had his medical at SLEC it only took him one day for everything to finish. I just wonder if i go there early let's say 7 am, will it still take me 2 days for it to finish?

Anyway, my interview is on Jan 22 and I still don't have my interview letter with me. How long did you receive your interview letter after you've been notified of the interview date? Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

Ynatots
