True. But I don't think public symbolism should trump the rights of the perps relatives to dispose of their bodies. After all - all of India's citizens have rights, don't they?

Cemeteries are private property. Private property owners have rights too. If the board says no, it's no. Their first of kin will just have to use a government crematorium ;)

Plus, whether all of the gunmen were Indian citizens or not hasn't been established yet.

Well of course.

Plus, whether all of the gunmen were Indian citizens or not hasn't been established yet.

I assumed that it is customary to send the bodies of foreign nationals back to their own country. That's why I didn't mention it.

Frankly, they will never know. It will be politically expedient to dismiss them as Pakistanis so that's what will be done.

So you think there's a good chance of my "solution" (burning in lard, dumping resulting ashes in a way that they'll windup in Pakistan) being implemented?

Why waste good lard?

Good point--ensure that the lard is rancid!

That's still a waste of lard!
Well...the only alternate I can think of is chemically-contaminated dog-dung (plenty of that to be found on streets of most Indian cities).

Granted there's some venting at work here - but why would anyone want to expend the energy to violate dead bodies?

I guess I don't get it.

It's about denying them heaven.

I see. To me it seems mindlessly vindictive. And pointless - when there are far more useful ways to expend the energy.

They should desecrate the remains by hacking off the limbs, cutting out the heart and the genitals

and then bury them wrapped in bacon and pork chops.

Thinking of feeding them to the alligators, are you?

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
