When you went to AOS interview, did you and your spouse get interviewed separately?

My husband and I are preparing for our AOS interview.

So we are trying to match our answers. We have know each other for over 8 years, so it is pretty hard for us to remember exact dates or month.

And we did not really have engagement. We simply started talking about our future during our senior year at college.

I wonder how accurate it has to be.

We can tell both of our date of birth, where we are from, parents' names, etc.

Normally people are interviewed together unless there is evidence of fraud.

Yes, usually AOS interviews have the couple together. And the vast majority have hardly any questions, just basic ones like when did you meet, what jobs do you each do, etc. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just make sure you are ready with copies of all paperwork you previously gave, because sometimes they will claim they can't find this or that in the their file and they'll want a copy.

For the record, my husband and I did not have any engagement, either. After I returned to USA from India we just talked on the phone and decided to do the K1 visa. However no one ever questioned us about that, not at the Consulate interview and not at AOS. We also knew each other over 8 years at the time of interview and hardly knew any specific dates. We can't even remember what month we first met each other! So don't be worried. ANd good luck for immediate approval!

Thank you:) I have been feeling super nervous and telling my husband to answer accurately. But, trust me. He is super bad at dates and names. He keeps pronouncing my dad's name wrong and my birth place. Well, it is Japanese and also very hard to pronounce.

Also he sometimes thinks that my birth day is February 2nd. well, my birth day is February 1st :(

It is just how he is. Some people are not just good at those things. I am really good at memorizing dates and numbers and names. But, he is not.

So I am hoping that he will not mess up.

Best wishes for your interview. Like the others said, separate interviews are only if there is suspected fraud. I've read many accounts of interviews where one spouse got a birthday/anniversary date wrong, and it didn't matter - the officers are human too and know that sometimes people aren't very good at remembering dates! As long as you don't have multiple errors/other issues with your application I'm sure you will be fine. Actually, at our interview we weren't even asked any dates, family names or anything like that at all. We also didn't have an engagement party or anything and the engagement never came up at the interview either.

Removing conditions:

10/9/10 - Package sent to Vermont

10/13/10 - NOA1 date, received 10/18
