All I can say is, just like people don't want Muslims coming to America and forcing everyone to live the Islamic way, well, Muslims in other countries don't want America or anyone for that matter, coming to them and pushing their way of life on them either. Everyone needs to just let everyone else be.

If America is so concerned about womens rights and the welfare of children, etc, they can issue refugee status to anyone asking for it. Otherwise, it's best to stay out of it! No one will ever be able to overcome a religion that has over a billion people in it...no one.

As for the visitation thing and child custody. In America, they give custody to women who are crack whores. Just because they're the biological mother. No questions asked. Do you know how difficult it is for a father to get custody? Almost impossible. Do you think this method is correct?

In Muslim countries usually the men are the ones working and making money. For that reason it makes sense for them to be responsible for child care and expenses (not to mention Islamically they have to pay for their kids 100%). Could this be the reason why some MENA governments give custody to the father? Rather than just saying it's because they're chauvenists?

However, you would need to ask a scholar about the correct rulings on child custody, because I don't believe Islam would put a mother in a position where she cannot see her kids. How can it? When the most important person after Allah and Mohammed (Peace be upon him) is the mother???

I agree. I don't know if I would have said crack #######... but I get the point. Incompetent or unable to give the child a good home and upbringing like a father maybe able to. Some using the child as a pawn...it’s sad. I also agree that the mother would be allowed to see her child or live with them provided she stays in the MENA region but her choice may not be to live in the MENA...that is why I said it’s something you really have to think about when entering into a marriage and having children.

As for paying for their kids 100% islamically...hmm..wish that held true all the time. There are dead beat dads everywhere I guess.

Well honey bunch,,, I know several American women who are not crack whores whos kids are stuck in MENA and cannot get them out. One finally got the FBI involved and the state department to be able to have health and welfare checks on her 2 kids who have been kept against court order in Tunisia.. American courts have NO JURISDICTION IN MENA. Apparently her tunisian husband forgot that verse in the koran...

I dont think the governments are worried about us being crack whores...

And not all muslims support their kids.... I have one very beautiful little example of that living with me.. her dad is as muslim and sallam aleikum as can be and pays NOTHING for her and he has a court order...

Not all muslim dads are doing what they are supposed to do NO MATTER WHAT THE RELIGION SAYS

And no American women have little or no rights over the travel of their child if they want to take them out of MENA without the fathers approval. ( like we do in the USA..both parents have rights) I think you need to read up on child abduction and the hague convention.. ) Its pretty sucky to be one of the unlucky few.. And I know some of these women
