Hello forum people.

I used the search on here for a bunch of my questions, but somehow didn't find anything on them.

Last week I got a thick envelope from the consulate in Amsterdam with a bunch of forms in them. Questions that I have questions about:

Form DS 156

Question 22: When do you intend to arrive in the U.S.?: I've read "When visa is granted" somewhere. That's what will be the case (well, not immediately, but not too long after that), so can I fill that out or are there better ways to fill this one out?

Question 24: At what address will you stay in the U.S.?: We (me and my fiancee) both live with our parents until the visa stuff is done, so I can't give an address yet. On the initial paperwork my fiancee explained it all in an additional note about how we can't give an address just yet because of our current living situations. She will move before I move there, but right now we don't have an address yet. Can I do a similar thing for this form?

Question 29: Have you ever been to the U.S.?: Yes / No / When? / For how long?:

Yes, I have, more than once. However, the line seems a bit small to name all dates and for how long it was... do I write an additional note explaining when and for how long I stayed there?

Question 30: Have you ever been issued a U.S. visa?: Do the I-94 waivers count? If so, do I write "I-94 / tourist visa" on the "What type of visa?" line?

(Again, like mentioned at Question 29, the lines are a bit small.. seperate note again?)

Question 32: Do you intend to work in the U.S.?: Yes / No (If YES give the name and complete address of U.S. employer):

Well, my answer would be "Yes" seeing how I would like to find a job so I can support us too, however, I can't give any name of any employer seeing how I won't have a green card until after the paperwork over there is done. So, what should I answer here? Something along the lines of the reason I just gave?

Form DS 156K

On this form there's a section that starts with "The following documents must be attached in order to apply for a fiance(e) nonimmigrant visa".

Things mentioned here are birth certificates (which I will have to get) and police certificates and evidence of financial support.

Police certificates: Somewhere on the checklist they mentioned that the consulate will take care of those.

Evidence of financial support: Is that something I will have to collect before the interview? Or is it something that has to be sent with this form?

Or is this stuff actually form I-134?

About form I-134: This is something my fiancee will have to fill out completely? She's coming over for Christmas and New Years and will bring it with her.

Thanks in advance!

please fill in your timeline. :)

q29. just fill all the dates in, it'll print them on a separate page.

q32. read the example forms for more information. i can't remember what it says but i put whatever the example says.

the i-134 is used at the interview. she will need to complete it, have it notarised and gather the required documentation to support it.

i'm not sure about the rest of your questions, sorry.

I will fill in my timeline when I get back home from work. About the answer you gave on my question about question 2; I was planning on filling out the forms they sent me, seeing how there are already case numbers on those forms and all.

Hello forum people.

I used the search on here for a bunch of my questions, but somehow didn't find anything on them.

Form DS 156

Question 22: When do you intend to arrive in the U.S.?: I've read "When visa is granted" somewhere. That's what will be the case (well, not immediately, but not too long after that), so can I fill that out or are there better ways to fill this one out? You can put "when visa is granted" or you can also put the estimated date of arrival in the US. In my case, I put a hypothetical date, there was no problem during the interview.

You can put your parent's address, and then when you arrive in the US and stayed at a different address, just request for a change of address on your records.

Question 29: Have you ever been to the U.S.?: Yes / No / When? / For how long?:

Yes, I have, more than once. However, the line seems a bit small to name all dates and for how long it was... do I write an additional note explaining when and for how long I stayed there? Answer truthfully, should you need an extra space, just provide it on another sheet but label them properly.

My answer on that question was: Yes, with work authorization, then I left the space for the employer's info as blank.

Or is this stuff actually form I-134? Affidavit of supprt is accomplished by the petitioner, it has to be notarized.Together with the Affidavit of support are the supporting documents like income tax transcript of the recent tax year, W2's, letter of employment, bank statements, stock funds, other assets like, house and lot. Give whatever supporting documents you have, the more the better. Affidavit of support is to be presented during the interview.

About form I-134: This is something my fiancee will have to fill out completely? She's coming over for Christmas and New Years and will bring it with her.
