CARTERET —An Atlantic Street resident reported to police that she was awoken around 5:30 a.m. Thanksgiving morning by a man who wore dark clothing and disguised his face with toilet paper.

The burglar then fled after taking her Dell laptop from the foot of her bed. She also discovered that her son's Apple laptop was missing from his room.

Police searched the home and found a cracked exterior window on the side of the home with the screen pushed up.
