Hello to all, I just want to make sure about the port of entry. My port of entry will be hawaii and meet my fiance there cuz we will get married in hawaii and stay for 5 nights before flying to his home place which is California.

My concerns are the following:

Are there some instances that I will be deny in their POE?

I can stay in Hawaii with my fiance for 5 nights or even longer before flying to my fiance's home place, right?

I'm just afraid the immigration in Hawaii would not let me enter their port if I will say that I will stay for a couple of days in Hawaii with my fiance before flying ca. I know I sound funny but I just want to make sure everything will be ok and I need your advices.

Dec. 09, 2008 Got married (wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii)
Dec. 12, 2008 Newly wed couple flew to SFO, CA

Feb. 12, 2009 NOA received (AOS and EAD)
Feb. 13, 2009 Biometrics appointment received
Feb. 25, 2009 Biometrics schedule (10 AM) San Francisco DONE
March 14, 2009 Received interview schedule
April 11, 2009 Received EAD card
April 21, 2009 Interview (APPROVED) (2 months 17 days from filing)

April 28, 2009 Welcome Letter received
May 2, 2009 GREEN CARD received (2 months and 29 days)

YOU NEED TRO QUIT STRESSING ABOUT POE. THEY HAVE NO REASON TO DENY YOU.UNLESS YOU ARE TRYING TO BRING ILLEGAL THINGS IN. AT POE THEY WILL CHECK YOU'RE PAPERS STAMP PASSPORT, THEN SAY WELCOME TO AMERICA.... EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!!!!!

Are there some instances that I will be deny in their POE? There is no reason to deny a visa holder. There's really nothing to worry about.

I can stay in Hawaii with my fiance for 5 nights or even longer before flying to my fiance's home place, right? 5 nights or 5 years, its all the same.

I'm just afraid the immigration in Hawaii would not let me enter their port if I will say that I will stay for a couple of days in Hawaii with my fiance before flying ca. I know I sound funny but I just want to make sure everything will be ok and I need your advices. Its not Hawaii immigration, its US immigrations - Hawaii is a US State and the only difference between it and any other US state is it happens to be an island. Once you're in the US, you're in the US. Again, there's nothing to worry about.

11-01-07- My fiance got a letter from NVC that within 2 weeks Manila Consulate will send my Packet

11-20-07- Date of my Packet, actually the real one was earlier but it was sent somewhere, good thing my Fiance arrived to spent Thanksgiving day in Phils and we checked the status in Embassy.

11-23-07- Medical though the exact date was Nov. 29..

12-06-07- Interview

12-16-07- Visa in hand

01-16-98- Attended CFO

01-18-08- Arrived in USA , POE-Guam

03-16-08- Wedding

AOS

04-17-08- Submitted the AOS

04-24-08- NOA

05-13-08- Biometrics

05-27-08- Transferred to California

06-14-08- EAD card received

07-21-08- Date of AOS approval but got the letter July 24

No Interview, No RFE and Additional Vaccination( just used the SLEC medical docs)

Aloha,

Be sure and carry your chest xray evidence as Honolulu immigration IOs sometimes ask for it and if in your luggage it's a pain to get.

You'll love Hawaii as we have all the same foods and fresh fish as the philippines. LOTS of filipinos naman. Mostly Ilocano tho.
