Hi All,

I am in the process of completing the forms for my husband's AOS and EAD. For our past forms, I have used my mother's mailing address, since she lives in the same town as me, and I have tended to move about once a year, so I did not want to go through the change of address process each time. (My husband and I will be moving again in December). My question is: will it matter if I continue to use her address? Our lease of course has our address on it, and I will include this in the package, but I do not want to create any confusion. Can I use her address as a mailing address and our address as "place of residence address." Since I'm moving, I don't want any mail to go to this current address, but to my mother's house.

Thanks for your help.

I typed in [mailing address] after such and [physical address] after such. Worked fine.

i could be wrong, but i am pretty sure you have to use the address where you actually reside. if you use your mother's address for the forms and submit your supporting evidence (lease, bank statement, etc.) in your actual address, it may cause confusion and your case may be delayed. and it could cause problems in your interview. why don't you file after you move to the new place in december? unless there are some major issues, the process shouldn't take more than a year. i forgot to check which state you live in, but it only took us 5 months to get my green card (we live in pennsylvania).

good luck!
