Touched and NVC. What does it mean??

I heared Touched often when one is explains there I-129F process. Also what does NVC stand for??

Touched is when someone at the service center "touches" your file. Every time someone does something with the file, even moving it, they scan it into the commuter and it has been "touched." Does that make sense?

NVC=National Visa Center.

Thanks, But yes, How do you know if its been touched?

when you create account in uscis you'll open it and inside you'll see the last date it was updated, if its different than the date they put your visa petition it in the system then its touched

NVC is the national visa center, where your petition goes from uscis and from there they send it to the beneficiaries embassy
